Good morning! I’m so happy to be sharing a new project with you here on the Echo Park Paper blog this morning. It is “birthday season” in our family from now right through until my own birthday on the 4th of July, so I was looking for a project that could be used for a number of our spring celebrations. I think these two little treat holders fill the bill nicely. They could even be used for Mother’s Day!
I decorated two wooden “planters” that I picked up at the craft store which hold the birdhouse-on-a-stick, and the mini chalkboard plant marker, both of which were Dollar Spot finds from Target. I dressed them up for the occasion using Echo Park Paper’s “Hello, Summer” collection. I love the papers and stickers, and the bright, happy colors make them perfect for these simple table decorations.
I used a Styrofoam ball to hold my birdhouse upright in the planter, and filled the remainder of the container with chocolate candies.
I used the chalkboard to frame my sentiment sticker. You could easily personalize it with a name using alphabet stickers if you’d like.
