Please welcome Design Team Expert Lowri McNabb today as she shares a great way to decorate your home for a holiday party--use personalized wine charms! Read through her tips and tricks for making a similar project!
Hi, everyone! Lowri here today to show you how to create some fun “Wine Charm” party accessories using an Echo Park Paper digital collection.
For this project I used the Chillingsworth Manor Element Pack 1 from jessicasprague.com. Included in the pack (which retails for $2.99) are 118 of the elements included in the paper collection. Once downloaded, you can edit and print all of these to suit your requirements.
I have chosen to use this banner element that is originally
found on the “Apothecary
Labels” paper in the Chillingsworth Manor Collection (see above).
You could of course just cut the elements from the paper, but I wanted them to be slightly bigger so I resized and printed the size I needed.
Once I had the pieces printed onto one sheet of matte photo paper (which I finds gives the best results when printing digital elements,) I covered the photo paper on top with a sheet of adhesive acrylic, and then used a layer of double-sided adhesive paper to attach a layer of chipboard to the underside of the paper. Maybe this diagram will help explain the “sandwich” of layers!
After cutting around the banner shapes with a really sharp knife, I used a little fine grit sandpaper to smooth any rough edges, punched a hole in the top and threaded them onto to some wire circles with a couple of simple beads for decoration. The clear acrylic on top will give them a little protection, but don’t expect them to last more than one evening –- not if your parties are anything like mine anyway!
Little elements like this can make for a really fun,
personal party. If you are playing games, maybe draw teams based on the
picture on the glasses, have spot prizes or a “break the ice” game using the
pictures too. You are only limited by
your imagination!

Hi Sofia - as listed in the supply list - I used the QuicKutz clear plastic sheets. I found them at my local craft store - and they have a list of suppliers on their website here - http://lifestylecrafts.com/locator/
I hope that helps :-)

Spot on with this write-up, I genuinely believe this web-site needs far more consideration. I'll likely be again to read far more, thanks for that info.
