A Week of Love: Day 2 | Just Be You Valentine's Cards
Hey there, Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here. It's almost Valentine's Day which means it's time for Valentine's Cards. I've had the Stitched Heart Die set in my stash for a while.
I've wanted to create a fun project with the die set but I haven't found the perfect project, until now. I knew that stitched heart die cuts would make perfect Valentines.
The first card I created was with the "Just Be You" collection. All of the patterned papers on this card came from the 6x6 paper pad. The "i love you" sentiment is created with letter stickers from the "Just Be You" alpha stickers.
The stitched hearts die makes hand stitching SO easy!! I stitched around these hearts in just a few minutes with cream colored embroidery thread. After adhering the hearts to the front of my Valentine with foam adhesive, I added a button that I had tied with the same embroidery thread that I used for the hand stitching.
I created the second card with the Stitched Heart Die set and the Flora No. 1 collection. I created these cards so they looked similar but not identical.
I layered the hearts on this card. I adhered both hearts with foam adhesive to give the cards a lot of dimension. The heart on the top is tied with twine for another pop of color and texture. I adhered the hearts to a white tag before I added them to the card front so the hearts would stand out against the pink card front.
The "You are my sunshine" sentiment comes from a die cut found in the Flora No. 1 ephemera pack. I love that this card can work as a Valentine's card but can also work as an everyday card as well.
Thank you for stopping by the Echo Park blog, I'll see you again soon!
