Hello there Echo Park fans - It's Tya here, and I am up on the blog today sharing with you a lovely little project featuring the beautiful Hello Sweetheart line by Carta Bella. This line is a great mix of puns, and florals and the color palette is amazing! This was such a fun line to work with. I made a trio of Tussie Mussies with this collection - perfect for giving that special someone a little treat.
To start - I cut three of these Heart shaped cones from this cut file Heart Cone - which I cut out with my Silhouette. I used the B sides of the 4x4 Journaling Card paper, and the 3x4 Journaling card paper and the Special Delivery paper. I also used a piece of Sweetheart Floral for the bands that wrap around the heart. Assemble and glue the hearts together with some strong adhesive to make the base of the cone. To decorate the front of the cones, I used another cut file from my Silhouette, this one is called a 3D Pleated Scallop Heart out of Ebony Black Felt Cardstock. I then decorated each heart with various stickers from the Sticker Sheet and I also fussy cut some flowers from the Sweetheart Floral paper. I cut a few leaves from the Summer Bloom Die Cut Set using some dark green cardstock and tucked a few leaves here and there. I added a 12 inch piece of black and white stripped grosgrain ribbon for a handle. The ends are hot glued into the sides of the cone. I added a few black and white Enamel Dots to add some dimension and shine to the project. Here are some up close photos of the hearts:
These little beauties were so fun to make! And you can add anything you want to give to the inside of the cone -I added some chocolate hearts in a little baggie, but you could do flowers, a nice note or even a small gift!
Tons of possibilities! Thank you for stopping by today! I hope I have inspired you to create a few of these for your own Sweethearts!
