Please welcome Design Team Expert Tamara Tripodi to the blog today. Tamara shares her tips and techniques for maching stitching vellum to patterned paper to create a spooky spider web. Read through her ideas below!
Hello, everyone! We are full swing into October and all the
fun it brings. I’ve been happily creating Halloween themed projects for a while
now, and here’s another. Today I am sharing Halloween tag card. This would be
perfect to send along with a gift basket full of spooky yummy treats to someone you love.
Creating this card is easy, and it looks great!
"
Chillingsworth Manor" is a fun collection to work with especially with using those
pre-made tags on the "Apothecary Labels" patterned paper. I will give you some steps on whipping up this card.

First you will cut a 5x7 card base from the Chillingsworth Manor
“Paper Pumpkin” paper. Cut two layering pieces: one with the Chillingsworth Manor
“Apothecary Labels” paper trimmed to 6.50” x 4.50”, and another with
the Chillingsworth Manor “Spider Web Polka Dot” paper trimmed to 6.25” x 4.25”. Ink
all edges with gray or black stamping ink.
Next, cut out some tags you’d like to use for your card from
the Chillingsworth Manor “Apothecary Labels” paper. Ink and bend edges slightly.
Cut several strips of vellum trimmed to .25” wide and
varying from 4” – 5.50” long, and sew them onto Chillingsworth Manor “Spider
Web Polka Dot” paper. I left the edges "free" as I wanted to tear/bend them a
bit. Once the sewing is complete, adhere the paper to the Chillingsworth Manor “Apothecary
Labels” paper and then onto the card base.

Tear the edges of the Chillingsworth Manor “Spider Web Polka
Dot” paper for a cool effect. Add eyelets and black wire to your tags.
To finish the card, adhere the "Happy Halloween," skeleton,
crow, and “31” stickers from the Chillingsworth Manor “Element Sticker” sheet onto the card front.
Slip the wire from the tags under the "Happy Halloween" sticker and set it in place
with a dab of adhesive. Adhere the corner of each tag in place with an adhesive
foam square. Fold up edges of tags slightly.

Thanks for stopping by today. Hopefully my card has given
you some great ideas and inspired you a bit! Happy Halloween, Echo Park Paper
fans!
Tamara adds lot of details to her projects. Look for additional products such as burlap, wire, ink, etc. to make this card idea your own!
