again! So, who's is the mood for spring crafting? I know I am. I adore this Echo Park
mini theme, "Happy Easter." It's perfect when you just want one or two projects
that are more spring/Easter themed but don’t want a full "large" collection. We
all know Easter = Cadbury Eggs. I need a
cute treat tote to carry them in, right? I die cut this egg shaped tote using
an SVG cutting file with my die cutting machine. I added a cute tag with a
Happy Easter theme sticker by adding a brad and some twine to tie around the
handle. I cut the journaling card out to put on the front of the bag and then I
finished embellishing with more brads, Happy Easter stickers, and some enamel
dots. Tie several colors of ribbon on the sides of the bag (use a hole punch,
then tie the ribbon through the holes). That's it!

By the time March rolls around, I am usually more than ready
for spring! This has been a particularly blustery and snowy winter, and when
Echo Park’s sweet “Happy Easter” collection landed on my doorstep, I knew that
I had to create a décor project that would make me “think spring” every time I
saw it. I found the ornate frame in a
discount store, and the page it frames went together in a snap. The repeated
chick shape could be replaced with any simple springtime shape you like, or you
could replace them altogether with a family Easter portrait if you’d prefer.
I started with a piece of white cardstock cut to 5" x 7". I used a hand punch to cut seven
chick shapes from the pink polka dot side of the “Easter Words” paper. You could use a Cameo or other electronic
die-cutter to create your repeated shape. I layered a variety of the stickers included on the “Happy Easter”
sticker sheet along the bottom edge of the cardstock, and popped the bunny
sticker with a bit of foam tape. I drew
light gridlines with pencil to line up my little chicks, which were also popped
up with foam tape.
The Easter banner was easy to make using the banner stickers
from the “Happy Easter” sticker sheet, some baker’s twine, and some adhesive
photo mount stickers or tape. First I
backed each sticker with a cardstock scrap and cut out. Then I spaced them out evenly, face-down on
my scrapbook table and adhered the twine to each sticker using a photo
mount. Then I attached the banner to
the back of the frame, and used a couple tiny Glue Dots to make sure that it
hangs correctly.
I’m looking forward to seeing some signs of spring outside my window soon, but in the meantime, this little piece will do nicely!

Please welcome Design Team Expert Linda Auclair to the blog today. She uses the darling gear elements in the "All About a Boy" collection to create this charming birthday card.
I love having a stash of “all occasion” cards on hand for a birthday that snuck up on me, a thank you or for sending a quick note to a friend to say hi. I keep a drawer of paper scraps under my scrapbooking table; and when I have stickers and embellishments out from making a layout, I’ll often put together a quick card or two before I put away my collection. That way I always have cards on hand when I need them. This quick card is perfect for a masculine birthday or note card using the "All About a Boy" patterned papers and the coordinating Element Sticker sheet. It is easily assembled using scraps and you can dress the stickers up with brads if you wish and make it a one of a kind creation.
Materials Needed:
All About a Boy “Scrabble” patterned paper (denim B side)
All About a Boy “Games” patterned paper
All About a Boy “Adventure” patterned paper (orange houndstooth B side)
All About a Boy Element Stickers
For the Record 2 Documented Brads
Foam Fape
Sewing Machine
Instructions:
1. Cut a 5 x 7 rectangle from the “Scrabble” patterned paper (if attaching to a pre-made card, otherwise cut 10x7 and fold in half). Machine stitch around the edges of the cardstock approximately ½" from the edge.
2. Cut a large spinner shape from the “Games” paper, a 2.25" diameter circle from the orange houndstooth B side of the “Adventure” paper, and a 1.75" diameter circle and a 1" diameter circle from the yellow reverse of the “Games” paper. Center the blue gear sticker on the orange houndstooth print, the blue gameboard on the yellow print and the small orange gear sticker on the 1 inch circle.
3. Mount the small dial sticker and the sentiment sticker with foam tape. Accent the centers of the gear stickers and the large spinner circle with brads.
4. Following the example shown, layer paper cut outs, and sticker shapes from the Element Stickers sheet to create a cluster in the center of the card. Accent with the stickers backed with foam tape, and additional brads as desired.

here to show you a fun idea for your kids. This would also be a great little
Easter gift for someone who doesn’t like chocolate. My kids love these little lollies and these
gorgeous papers from the Sweet Girl
Collection were perfect for making these flowers.
To create the flowers I used my Cameo and this file to create the flowers. Simply cut 2 pieces from coordinating papers, making sure if you resize the cutting images that you re-size them all at the same time to keep the flowers the same sizes. I then removed two of the petals and reglued the petals to give a 3-d shape (see below).
I then put the lollipop sticks onto small wooden skewers and covered them both in washi tape to add a bit more color and disguise the join.
The little glass jar the flowers are standing in was fun to make too. I took a small shaker from the dollar store and put a couple of tablespoons of cheap acrylic paint into it, carefully swirled it round inside right up to the rim and then left it to dry overnight.
