Hello
everyone, Susan Stringfellow here with one of my very favorite collections, "Oh
Snap!" I just love the colors and the super cute retro cameras, not to mention
the great polaroid looking journaling blocks.
I know that I am not the only one around here
who rarely scrapbooks photos of themselves. And what is the first reason
everyone gives? "I am always the one behind the camera". Right? And
as true as that is, you really have to find a way to feature yourself and your
love of photography in your scrapbook. You can take a photo of yourself in a
mirror in your home, but I don't really need a photo of my bathroom. So my
faveroite camera photo shots are when I am out and about.
For this page I used a
photo taken by a friend of mine when we were at Disneyland's California
Adventure. I love it because it shows "me" and a bit of the
background that I am focused on, but sometimes I like to have a straight on
photo as well.
When at these theme parks
if you don't have a friend with a camera or camera phone, you can ask a park
photographer to snap a shot of you taking photos and they are glad to do it.
You can also get creative and use reflective surfaces like windows to catch a
shot of yourself. And as a sort of
iconic photo of this stage of smart phones, I snapped a photo of my husband
taking photos with his phone for Instagram.
Play around with creative shots and pick up this fun collection to
feature your photos. I would love to see what you come up with!
