Please welcome Lisa to the blog today as she shares three teen Valentine card ideas:
I am completely smitten with Echo Park's new "Head Over Heels" collection, and I know you will be too. I created a trio of tween/teen Valentine's Day cards to share with you today. I didn't make them too corny because then I would have gotten the tween eye roll from my 12 year old, but I did have fun using some puns related to the patterns in the papers. Let's take a look at them, one by one.
Card #1: UR Just My Type
Shipping tags are a great element to use on cards. They add a nice base to layer on. If you don't have one in the right color, make your own. Trace a white shipping tag onto a paper of your choosing and cut it out. I usually cut two, put them back-to-back and add a machine stitched border to give the tag a bit more depth and dimension.

Card #2: I Really Bike You
How cute is the tandem bicycle sticker on the "Elements Sticker" sheet? I cut the bicycle in half and adhered it over a piece of vellum on which I printed repeated text that reads, "I really bike you." Add dimension to stickers by embellishing them with buttons, as I did here on the front wheel of the bicycle.

Card #3: You Just Plane Make Me Happy
I went with another pun for this card, printing "You just plane make me happy" repeatedly on patterned paper before putting it inside of a diecut word bubble. The phrase sticker over the word bubble complements the text inside and adds interest and a pop of color, rather than having just the plain text.
