Hello there, Aly Dosdall here to share a fun layout using the "St. Patrick’s Day" Mini Theme. An important part of our family celebration each year on St. Patty’s Day is food. We love to color our milk green, cook green eggs and ham, and make Irish stew and soda bread for dinner.
This photo is from 2012 when my sweet daughter decided to get up early and make green chocolate chip pancakes for everyone for breakfast. That was a great start to a fun day!
To add a little dimension to my layout I adhered some of the sticker accents with foam squares. I also used one of my favorite go-to designs—patterned paper strips. Paper strips are a quick and easy way to mix different patterns and create a cool background.
With St. Patrick’s Day coming up I thought I would share some ideas for photos you can take on that fun day:

I love using templates to speed up my creation process. It is also fun to repurpose a layout, and create something completely different with it. In this tutorial, I will show you how to create a non-pocket layout using one of Echo Park’s Photo Freedom templates.
Open the template you wish to use. I chose the 6x12 template because I wanted the long, vertical strip.
Turn off all layers except the background and the 6x12 strip.
Your layout will look like this:
Rotate and move the strip to the desired location.
Select your papers and clip them to the appropriate layers. I used papers from Echo Park’s So Happy Together collection.
Turn on the remaining photo layers and position/resize the ones you wish to use. Delete any remaining photo layers.
Clip your photos to the photo blocks.
At this point, I decided I wanted a photo mat, so I copied the patterned paper mask layer and resized it.
Next, I decided to copy the background layer and shrink it a bit, to create a clipping mask for the wood grain paper.
After clipping the wood grain paper to the clipping mask, I added a red paper just above the background layer.
One of the great things about using Echo Park’s Photo Freedom templates is that the shadowing is already included in the template. To apply the same shadow to the new mat layer, simply right-click on any of the photo layers and select “Copy Layer Style.”
Then select the new wood grain clipping mask layer, right click, and select “Paste Layer Style.”
The wood grain background now has a nice shadow:
Add some elements and journaling, and you’re all finished!

Hello, friends, it’s Tania here! For those of you who may have never seen this spelling and may be curious, it’s pronounced ‘tahn-ya’. Nice of my parents to make things difficult for me my whole life, eh? Rarely do people get it right on the first try, so I thought I’d help you out.
Roday, I want to share with a fun layout and sketch that I designed to help get your own creative juices flowing. My layout features the "That’s My Boy" collection pieces, but this sketch doesn’t discriminate.
First of all, I must say that I am a color girl through and through. Absolutely love color. So, the colors and patterns in this collection are totally my jam. Being that I am mama to two girls and no boys, I have to say that I adore that the patterns are generic enough that they are quite versatile for using on projects wherein the subject isn’t a boy. Bonus!
Before starting the design of my layout, I dripped two different colors of mist onto my background by unscrewing the spray nozzle and allowing the mist to drip off the end of the uptake tubing and onto my paper. It’s a great technique when you want to control exactly where the mist falls. As that was drying, I simply took a triangle punch to nearly every patterned paper in the That’s My Boy collection. It really is a preferential thing on whether you use the papers in the Collection Kit or papers torn from the 6x6 Paper Pad. Since papers from both are double-sided the only difference will be the size of the pattern printed on the papers. The papers in the Paper Pads are generally just a miniature version of the patterns in the Collection Kit. For my layout, I used the 6x6 Paper Pad. Oh, and if you don’t have a triangle punch, you could easily create either an equilateral or isosceles triangle in your electric die-cutting software and cut multiples rather quickly.
Once you have your triangles, run your adhesive down the entire length of the layout and start sticking them down. It is much easier and much quicker to run a strip or two of adhesive down the length of the space you’re trying to fill than try to adhere the triangles one by one. I also recommend you start in the middle and work out toward the edges to help the overhang you’ll have at either end look a bit more natural.
Now you’re ready to add a photo or two and go to town on the embellishing, which is my absolute favorite part! Add layers to the triangles with border strips from the Elements Sticker Sheet and the Alphabet Sticker Sheet. Then, add clusters of stars, brads and gems so they form a visual triangle on your layout. Next you’re ready for a title created using stickers from the Alphabet Sticker Sheet or cut using your electric die-cutting machine. Lastly, handprint or type some journaling to add and you have yourself a finished layout!

Hi everyone! Corri here today to share with you three cards that I made using the “That’s My Boy” Collection. When I am working on a card design, I always find inspiration in the paper. For my first card, I loved the navy blue football field so I just trimmed that area out using my paper trimmer. I cut a piece of the sports themed paper to fit my A2 card base and applied the “field” at a slight angle. I finished off this simple card with three stickers from the collection and a button threaded with some burlap string and tied in a bow.

This rocket paper is my favorite pattern in the collection so I knew right away I wanted to use it on a card. I trimmed a piece to fit my A2 card base and then cut a strip of the navy paper about 2-1/2” wide to place on the left side of the mat. I used my Cameo to cut a label shape to create a background for the rocket and star stickers from the collection. Foam dots behind both the rocket sticker and the shaped label add some dimension to the card. I used the UR from the alpha sheet and the awesome tag to create my sentiment. Finally, I added three small flag stickers in the upper right corner and a button threaded with burlap string in the lower left corner.

For my last card, I just had to make a gamer card. This would be perfect for my son (or any of his friends). I cut the game controller (design id # 24922) from the Silhouette Store from the yellow side of the Controllers paper.

Today we're sharing Lisa Swif'ts AMAZING projects featuring the "St. Patrick's Day" collection. We couldn't get more lucky than that:
Hi everyone! Lisa here today to share a trio of cards I made with the new St. Patrick's Day mini collection.
Let's take a closer look at each card. First up is a leprechaun's hat. Inking and stitching give the card dimension and texture. Using darker green cardstock at the top of the hat makes the card appear three-dimensional. Sanding the edges of the cloud sticker helps it stand out more against the background.
Next up is a more traditional card, with a clover diecut shape as the focal point. I ran the tag through my printer to get the "Happy St. Patrick's Day!" repeated text. It adds another design element to the card versus using a plain tag. See the strip at the bottom of the tag, the one that says, "St. Patrick's Day"? I cut that from the border strip that's at the bottom of every paper.
Last, but not least, is this adorable pot of gold. All this took was a couple of elements and alphas from the sticker sheet and the "St. Patrick's Day" sentiment cut from the bottom of one of the papers.
So these are some fun ways to use the St. Patrick's Day mini collection. I hope you're inspired to start making St. Patrick's Day cards.

What is your favorite Echo Park Paper collection to date:
That is a tough call! Since I live in San Diego, I am always a fan of the summer kits. However, I think my all time favorite is "Sweet Day." It has such a soft and lovely color palette.
Do you have a craft room or special place where you create?
Since I am a digital scrapbooker, I have minimal space requirements. And after sitting at a desk all day, the last thing I want to do when I get home is sit at another desk! I actually create most of my layouts with my laptop, while sitting on the couch.
Are you a card maker, scrapbooker, altered artist or a combination of these three?
Digital Scrapbooker. I do occasionally venture out of my comfort zone to create cards and mini albums. However, I work best when I have an undo button at the ready.
How would you describe your style?
I love all styles of layouts, but I'm most comfortable creating clean and simple designs.
Tell us about your family/yourself.
My husband and I have been married for seven years. We are originally from Utah, but we've been living in San Diego for four years and love it here. We don't have children, but I have 15 nieces and nephews I would happily claim for my own. They are often the subject of my scrapbook layouts.
Tell us one scrappy tool that you can't live without.
This is a trick question! There are several tools that are absolutely essential to my creative process. I couldn't live without my laptop, Photoshop, or my Wacom tablet. And of course, I scrap best when I have great photos of my sisters' kids. Their cute faces have inspired some of my best work. And, truth be told, I wouldn't want to scrap without Echo Park products. They suit my style so perfectly. I am so happy to be part of their team!
