Welcome to Day One of our Week Long "Designer Products" Event!

 

We are so excited to be dedicating this entire week to our NEW "Designer Dies" and "Designer Stamps!" Our design team has been working hard to create amazing projects featuring our new Designer products and we can't wait to share our ideas with you!  Ashley Horton is kicking off day one with an amazing layout!

 

 

Hi everyone!  It’s Ashley and I have a new layout using the "We Are Family" collection incorporating the new Designer Dies from Echo Park!  Die cutting has become very popular in layout designs, especially with the look of negative shapes.  You can use the dies that are now being made to coordinate with many of our new releases, to get the same look on your layouts or projects. 

 

 

I used the Cloud shape from the "Sun and Clouds Die" and cut 5 of them from the 6x6 patterned papers in the paper pad.  Once I had all of the shapes cut, I trimmed around each negative cloud, with my paper trimmer to create about a 2 inch square. 

 

 

Next, I placed them on my layout, moving them around into different configurations until I decided where I wanted each one.  After they were all adhered, I added some of the Cloud and phrase stickers from the Element Stickers Sheet and hand stitched around each of the squares to add definition.

 

 

The new Designer Die Sets, also work perfectly with the coordinating Designer Stamps!  Be sure to come back first thing tomorrow for day two of our week-long event and another fun project featuring our "Designer Products!"

A Layout Featuring "We Are Family" Silhouette Shapes

Hello Echo Park friends! Lisa here with you today to share a layout made with the fabulous new We Are Family collection, featuring some of the collection's coordinating shapes from the Silhouette store.

The 'B' side (text) of the Globes paper provided the perfect base for this page. I chose it because the white background and subtle pattern allowed me to pull in all of the colors in the collection and it worked well with the black and white photo.

I accented the page with stickers from both the Element and Alpha Sticker sheets and gave my Silhouette a workout to create both the script title and fun globe accent at the top of the page. I could have used the globe sticker from the Element Sticker sheet, but it was a bit too small for the space where I wanted to use it. Using the cut file instead allowed me to size the same element to fit my needs. Ditto for the word “Family” in the title. Rather than use the sticker version, I upsized the word so it would stand out and make an impact in the title. The word “Love” in the title is actually part of a cut file that says, “Love Today.” I ungrouped the elements and cut only the word I needed.

When you're creating your next project think about adding in some Echo Park Silhouette shapes. They work so well for adding texture (especially if you use cardstock) and dimension and give you the option of sizing elements to fit your needs.

Echo Park's July Release Preview - Day FIVE - Holiday Mini Themes!

Welcome to our final day of July release previews!  We've loved sharing these peeks with  you over the last few days, it's so fun to hear how excited you are!

"We Are Family" Tag Trio with Corri

Hi everyone! Corri here today sharing a set of tags that I made with the We are Family Collection and the new Designer Dies and Stamps.  Each of my tags uses the dies and/or stamps in a different way. 

Here’s my first tag.

I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut my tag from a striped sheet of pattern paper from the 6 x 6” paper pad. I stamped the hot air balloon on a sheet of pattern paper and then used the coordinating die to cut it out.  This is my kind of stamping….no fussy cutting involved!    I cut a couple of clouds using the cloud die, ran them through my Xyron and sprinkled them with clear glitter to add some sparkle. Finally, I embellished my cute tag with some enamel dots and a sticker from the collection.  

For my second tag, I cut the tag with my Cameo and then positioned the butterfly and sweet dies on top of the tag and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I cut a square of paper to fit behind the butterfly and ran it through the Xyron.  One it was applied to the back of my tag, I sprinkled the butterfly area with clear glitter.  I glued my completed tag to the blue background allowing the blue to show through the “sweet” cut out.  

My last tag uses the die cuts in the traditional way.  This layered owl is so cute.  I cut and assembled him and then used foam dots to pop him up off the surface of the tag.  I did the same thing with one of the clouds and the heart to add lots of dimension to this tag.
