Hello, Aly Dosdall here today to share a fun stamping technique that I used on a layout created with the new We Are Family collection and Happy Family Designer Stamps. Take a look at the title of my layout and you can see that the flower stamps appear to be layered behind the “Happy” banner.
This masking technique is easy and adds a feeling of depth to your projects. Here’s how you can create the same look:
Start by tracing around the outline of your stamp on a piece of scrap paper and then cut it out. You can also stamp the image and then cut it out.
Then, stamp the image you want to appear in front of the others on your project.
Next, place the cut out image of your stamp on top of the image on your project. Stamp the other images that you’d like to appear behind the first one, layering over the cut out image.
Then remove the cut out and voila! Your images appear to be layered one behind the other.
