Hello, friends, it’s Tania here with you today! Just wanted to share a super quick and easy way for you to embellish gift packaging using the We Are Family Collection. This idea will look just as nice whether you are using a small neutral-colored box, like I have here, or some other sort of kraft gift bag or box. This box is actually a repurposed Samsung Galaxy mobile phone box that is printed with a super rad wood grain pattern.
After you’ve found your neutral packaging, or wrapped your gift in kraft wrapping paper, you’ll want to use the border stickers on both the Elements Sticker sheet and the Alpha Sticker sheet to create a hodge-podge border around the side of the box. If your box is much larger than the length of the 5 strips available, cut small strips of patterned paper to help fill in the gap. As you see in the photos, I didn’t have a problem with not having enough to go around, but I still incorporated in one of the phrase banner stickers just to add a bit more interest.
After you have your border done, wrap a doubled strand of twine/jute around the box and tie into a bow. I always tie mine off-centered on the top of my gifts, but that’s just a matter of preference. Then, slip one of the journaling cards onto the top of the box. I’ve used one of the smaller 3x4 cards, but you may want to use a larger card if you have a larger gift you’re wrapping. Once the card is in place, just built up various layers of flowers from both the Elements Sticker sheet and use some hand-cut from a sheet of the Family Floral patterned paper. Finish it off with another phrase banner sticker and you’re ready to wow the recipient!
