Hello! Courtney here today and I am sharing a fun home decor project I created with the Jack & Jill: Jack Collection and an unfinished wood bird from my local craft store. To decorate the bird I started with a bunch of 3/4” squares that I punched from my favorite patterned papers in the collection. I also punched a few squares from some pieces found in the Jack Ephemera pack. Before adhering a square to the wood bird I sanded all four edges so that the patchwork look would pop.
The bird needed an eye, so I used a stamp from the Such A Good Boy 4x6 Stamp Set. I stamped with brown distress ink and then heat embossed with brown distress embossing powder. Then I added a blue jewel brad from the Jack Decorative Brads - just snip the prongs off of the back of the brad and adhere with a glue dot.
I assembled a sign for the bird to hold in his mouth with a chipboard piece from the Jack 6x12 Chipboard, two eyelets and a bit of twine. Insert and set the eyelets into the top corners of the sign then thread through a piece of twine. Tie it off at the top and with a bit of strong glue behind the knot adhere to the bird’s beak.
