Hi Echo Park Paper Fans! Holly here from Ribbons & Glue sharing a Winter Snow Jar made with the Hello Winter collection. Sometimes, I'm amazed at what inspires me to create a project. Like cleaning out an empty sauce jar inspired the idea of a jar filled with paper trees and fake snow. I guess there's always a Silver Lining in doing the dishes. This jar of fake snow is about all I will be seeing too for snow since I live in Southern Nevada where it rarely snows.
To make the Winter Snow Jar, I used my Silhouette and an Echo Park Pine Tree cut file to cut out two different sized trees , three times each. After the trees were cut out, I scored them down the middle and adhered three trees together to make one dimensional tree.
After the trees were assembled, I hot glued a dowel inside each tree and ink around the edges.
The jar lid is covered with Decorative Tape that coordinates with the Hello Winter collection too.
To assemble the Snow Jar, hot glue the trees in to the bottom of the jar, add fake snow inside, wrap a white ribbon around the top and embellish the jar with a decorative brad and Alpha sticker.
This Winter Snow Jar made from an up-cycled sauce jar and Echo Park Silhouette cut files is a unique way to bring in a little bit of Winter Snow with out the mittens.
