Hello everyone! Kimberly here. Designer Dies make card making easy and fun! But did you know that you can cut other materials with your Designer Dies, more than just paper? By die cutting felt, this Easter bunny goes from cute to fantastic!
To create the bunny, I die cut brown felt with Designer Dies Chocolate Bunny Die Set. Felt cuts easily in a die cutting machine. I recommend finding 100% wool felt for the smoothest cutting. However, if you have something else in your stash, no problem! You may just need to turn your felt and die 45 degrees and pass it through your die cutting machine again. Designer Dies Chocolate Bunny Die Set also comes with the adorable bow. I cut pink gingham paper from the Spring 6x6 paper pad with that die.
The grass under the bunny came from Designer Dies Egg Hunt Die Set. The scale was perfect for my bunny. Before adhering the bunny and the grass down, I wove the bunny into the long blades of grass. It added some fabulous dimension! You can also see that I added some inking in the background; blue for the sky, green for the grass. It helped fill out the scene I was creating for the bunny.
The last part of my card was adding a sentiment. The word “celebrate” from Designer Stamps Happy Easter Stamp seemed like the perfect choice, but it was missing something. “Bunnies and Baskets” was an adorable set of words to add to “celebrate,” but there was no room. With my fuzzy felt bunny being the focus of my card, using only the word “bunnies” seemed like a great choice! Placing a post-it note over the rest of the sentiment, I inked up the word bunnies, removed the mask of post-it notes, and then stamped my word on the card.
Anyone else craving Easter candy?
Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Spring by hanging a candy-filled Tussie Mussie on your child's bedroom doorknob or on the front of your friend's front door! Or maybe you have a shelf or coat rack that is void of coats these days and could use a little happy color! Hi, everyone! It's Jana Eubank. Growing up my mom and her friends always made May Day cones filled with treats and flowers to give to friends and neighbors. Ever since hearing her stories, I have always wanted to make my own ... but you don't have to wait until May to spread a little sunshine. I think anyone would love receiving a Spring Tussie Mussie ANY time!
