Banners are great for any occasion, so what better way to greet SPRING than with a charming and colorful one using the new “Spring” Collection!
I started with four 5”W X 5.5”H pieces of the “Sparkling Stripe” Paper. You can use a banner template if you wish, but I simply made a 1.25” cut up from the bottom center of each paper. From each bottom corner, I cut at a diagonal until it met with the center cut mark.
The edges of the panels were inked with a Pink Grapefruit VersaMagic Ink and then layered with a smaller banner that measured 4”W X 4.5”H. The smaller banners were cut from the “Fancy Floral” Paper and attached with foam adhesive. The largest scallop from the Scallop Nesting Dies was used to cut four circles from the “Beaming Butterflies” Paper. They were inked with Sunflower Yellow Brilliance Ink around the edge and also attached to the center of the small banner with foam adhesive.
The first banner panel was decorated with the “Hello” stickers and two of the round die-cut pieces from the Ephemera Pack.
To the second banner, the bicycle sticker and sentiment sticker were added. Small brown enamel dots were used to embellish the center of the spokes.
The third banner is a combination of stickers from the collection, as well as some ric rac trim and buttons from my stash.
On the final banner, the umbrella sticker fit the contour of the scallop circle perfectly! I just added it with some foam adhesive, with the exception of the handle, which was simply adhered by its own tack.
The panels were then strung together with sheer ribbon. I created holes at each top corner with a standard hole punch. To the ends of the banner, I added two rings so that it can easily be hung on pegs or around a curtain rod.
