Military "Hero" Card Set
Hey Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here. I had so much fun playing with the Hero Mini Themes Collection kit to create 3 cards to share with you today. The first two cards are traditional A2 cards. I created the card bases out of cardstock and embellished the card front with stickers, buttons, ribbon, and patterned papers.
To be honest, I've never made military themed cards. I was a little bit nervous about how I could pull them together. I must say that I LOVE how these turned out. The first one I created has lots of stickers with the "brave" sentiment. I added the white ribbon bow and a button to add a little bit of a feminine touch. I created this card for a female member of the armed services.
The second card I created is more masculine. I titled the card "USA" but also used a 3x4 journaling card that says "home of the free because of the brave".
The third USA card is a z fold card. I cut a piece of 6x12 piece of kraft cardstock and scored it at the 2", 4", 8", and 10" marks. After folding the card I added small pieces of patterned paper on each panel. I made a cardstock wrap to go around the card when it was folded. I added the "USA" sticker on pop dots to create the sentiment. I love the uniqueness of this card.

"Halloween" Candy Beakers
Having candy around for Halloween is just a given, but I love the way candy looks when displayed. I used the whimsical "Halloween" collection to create a candy beaker display for my entryway. It's actually a flower vase frame, but because the vases look like beakers, I knew it would work. Here's a look at the beakers:
Each beaker is filled with Reese's Pieces. I simply poured them out, sorted them, and then placed them in the beekers.
I decorated the distressed wooden frame that came with the vases, with accordion folded circles die cut from some of the papers in this collection. I added some ephemera shapes and stickers to complete the look. A few items peek out of the top of the beakers and are stuck to black and white paper straws.
You could change the look of this for any season like Christmas, Winter, Valentines, and more. Just change out the candy and the paper and sticker elements to update the look.

Last Minute Quick and Easy Halloween Decor
Hi everyone! It's Wendy Sue here today, sharing a few really quick and easy items that you can whip up to complete (or begin, if you're a procrastinator like me) your Halloween home decor!
I started with a few items from the Target dollar spot:
They are festive and fun just the way they are - painted black with a bit of distressing - but I wanted them to be really cute, so I whipped out my "Halloween" collection from Echo Park, and started covering and embellishing! Here's a look at what I did:
First, I traced around the shapes on to the patterned paper, and cut them out.
Then I added some stickers - using foam adhesive dots behind some of them for extra dimension:
I added some crochet thread to the "3"
And when the "31" was complete, it looked like this:
I followed a similar process for the bat:

The finished bat:
The framed art was the quickest and easiest! It's simply a 4x6 card from our patterned paper sheet. I cut it out and popped it into a frame! Easy!
That's all there is to it! A few store-bought items and a few minutes, combined with our super cute Halloween collection. Now I have several items to decorate my home with!

Tooth Fairy Easel Trinket Box
Waiting for the tooth fairy to come is almost like waiting for Christmas morning ...the magic or anticipating a fairy visiting your room feels the air and makes it almost impossible to fall asleep!
Those teeny, tiny teeth are so easily lost underneath a pillow ... why not create a keepsake box to place on your child's nightstand instead?
The top of this box as an easel that flips up, displaying a tooth chart. The sparkly brads keeps the easel in place, but the panel can also fold flat for storage.
Below the chart is a drawer, ... the perfect spot to place the loose tooth and maybe even a note for the tooth fairy, thanking her for her hard work. The sparkly brad is not only a fun decorative touch, but serves as the drawer pull.
After the tooth fairy comes for her visit, she can leave payment inside the drawer.
Place the Tooth Fairy box inside a coordinating storage box to keep it protected until the next time you are ready to use it!
