Hello friends, Anya here to share a few cards I made using the gorgeous “Grandma” mini theme collection! When I get to work with such pretty patterns as the ones you find in this pack, I can’t stop making just one card. These papers are truly warm and beautiful – a perfect fit for a sweet card any Grandma deserves!
I enjoy fussy cutting and I’m always looking for paper designs that could be used as embellishments on my projects. When I saw the Vintage Florals piece of paper, I knew it had enough flowers for many cards! My first card started with a piece from a 3x4 card found on the Journaling Cards paper, and I built the rest of the design around it.
The second card was started with a round shape design found on a 4x6 card from the Journaling Cards paper. To cut it out, I used a Stitched Circle Designer die, and to emphasize the round design here, I added a white doily to the back of the die cut shape. To make these cards even more elegant, I added pink bows and pearl brads. Ribbon helped tie the design of the card together, adding that special feminine touch.
For some fun dimension I always try to separate a few layers with pop dots. Also, when I think of a grandma, I think of all the great qualities she has and many things she can do; that’s why machine stitching fits here more than on any other card.
My last card for today was inspired by a great phrase on one of the 3x4 cards. I’ve cut that phrase in single strips, added a banner shape at the ends and adhered them with dimensional adhesive. Since the phrase mentions heart, I thought it would be nice to add a die cut heart, which I found in this Designer Die Set.
To make these three cards I used:
Grandma Mini Theme Collection
Grandma’s House pattern paper
Vintage Floral pattern paper
Stitched Circle Designer Die set
Journaling Cards pattern paper
“I love Christmas” Enamel Dots
