Use "Jungle Safari" to Create this Two Page Zoo Layout!

Hey there Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here. I know there are a LOT of double page layout lovers out there. You're going to be thrilled with what I have to share with you today. I used the Jungle Safari collection to create a two page layout with 10 photos. I also used a lot of die cuts on this layout (you can find a link to a complete supply list below).

 

 

I used a large photo on the left side of the layout. I also put the title, journaling, and some embellishments on the left side of the layout. I layered a lot of leaves (both die cut and fussy cut) to create lots of interest around my embellishments.

 

I also created 3 embellishment clusters across both layouts to make a visual triangle. I combined, die cut leaves, leaves on stickers, and fussy cut leaves to create tons of texture and dimension throughout both pages.

On the right side of the layout there are nine 3x3 photos arranged in a grid.

To add a little pop of color inside the grid, I added a bright yellow "together" die cut. Under the "together" die cut I added a green grass die cut for one more layer of texture.

As a finishing touch I added a couple of stickers (on foam adhesive) and a few enamel dots.

Document Your Selfies with "Metropolitan Girl"!

Hello! Tegan here today with a fun big city themed layout made with the very cool Metropolitan Girl collection. It is so modern and retro at the same time- I love it!  I love the mix of salmon, teal, and yellow! Metropolitan Girl is the perfect collection for documenting my day in the big city of Chicago! I also had some fun making my own background using the diamond from the Echo Park Play Card Icons. Come take a look!

I started the layout by creating my diamond background pattern in the Silhouette software. I then cut out the design from a sheet of the Carta Bella Natural White Designer Cardstock. I opted for the creamy white cardstock because it blends well with the cool vintage vibe of this collection. I then backed the diamond openings with my favorite patterned papers using foam adhesive.

Of course I had to add this fun and fashionable gal sticker!

I used the black side of the Girls and Cities patterned paper to die cut my title using my Silhouette Cameo. The enamel dots are a fun addition and add a little bit of color to my title.

I used the Silhouette Cameo and black patterned paper to cut “selfie” out for my title using the Mistral font.  I finished the layout off with a few cute element stickers and a fun round piece from the ephemera pack.

A Gift Box that is Sew Cute!

I love creating unique gift boxes to wow my friends and family. I have several people in my life who sew and couldn't wait to use the Carta Bella Metropolitan Girl collection to create this adorable sewing machine gift box.

 

I cut the body of the sewing machine using the City Flowers Paper. I love the flowers on this paper! It looks like fancy embroidery ... perfect fit for the sewing theme. The bottom and end pieces are cut using the Let's Shop Paper.

 

All of the girly accents in this collection are so perfect for the women in our lives! I accented the base of the machine with a strip of the Show Lover striped paper to add more color and then created a fun cluster of elements as a decorative focal point. I love the "Happy Girl" quote by Audrey Hepburn, trimmed from the Affirmations Paper.

 

I can't wait to add some goodies and a gift card into the box in the base to give to someone special.

Create this fun "Born To Be Wild Card" with our "Jungle Safari" Collection!

Hello friends, Anya here today to share a fun birthday card! My second-grader loves to give cards to her classmates. She has a special box with store bought cards she can use anytime she needs, but sometimes I like to add a special handmade card she can give to that special friend!

To make this fun card, I used the happy collection “Jungle Safari” and some of my favorite Designer Dies by Echo Park. I based my mini scene on a yellow circle that looks like the warm sun in the Safari, which was cut with a medium size circle die from Stitched Circle Nesting Designer Die Set. 

When I’m creating cards, I always look for little details I can fussy cut. Here I used a whole bunch of hand cut leaves from Canopy Leaves pattern paper to create a nice sitting area for the main character of my card. It adds a lot of fun and dimension! To finish this card, I used a piece of Jungle Stripes pattern paper to cover the back panel of the card. I love to do that for three reasons: it ties the whole card together; gives the card a finished look; and makes it sturdier.

Merry Christmas!

Create an "I Love Christmas" Santa Gift Box!

Hello! Tegan here with you today! I love this time of year! I love the Christmas colors, the chocolate treats, and giving gifts to loved ones. The I Love Christmas Collection is a great collection for treat boxes to show my loved ones I appreciate them. This collection just screams Christmas and I love it. And this little box doesn’t have to be just for giving candies! I think it would be a perfect package for gift cards, men’s tie, or make-up as well!

I first die cut the box pieces using a 3D Square box from the online Silhouette store. I used the green snowflake patterned paper for the box bottom and used the fun polka dot red patterned paper for the top. I die cut the middle banner portion from striped patterned paper. I then used the Floral Holly Die Set) to cut out a cute flower and two leaves. I think this is my new favorite Christmas die set!  

I adhered an ornament sticker in the corner using foam adhesive and added the little birdie layered sticker for added dimension.

I ended up cutting my own strip of solid green paper to place down the front of the box. I wanted Santa in his red suit to stand out against the green paper. Doesn’t he look adorable holding the banner sticker I adhered with foam adhesive?
