"Are We There Yet?" Convertible Card

Hello everyone! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing with you a fun little card. I am using the amazing Are We There Yet line by Carta Bella.

 I always wanted a convertible car - my mom had one when I was growing up, but I only got to drive it on special occasions so the convertible car sticker from the Sticker Sheet totally spoke to me and I used it as the focal point to my card. I also loved the green road pattern on the Get on the Road paper. The street map design on the State Map paper was perfect as well for this Road Trip themed card. I got these from the 6x6 pad. The card base is made from a 5x5 piece of Kraft Cardstock.

I love making little clusters of embellishments so I layered a kraft shipping tag and a manilla shipping tag up with some stickers, chipboard pieces, a frame and a layered sticker from the collection. I loved the colors of the brads in this collection, so I added a bright bullseye pattern one to one of my tags.

The tag is tied with a piece of blue and cream ribbon and the ribbon is tied with a piece of tan twine. I added a few ink splatters here and there and finished the card off with a few enamel dots and 2 kraft photo corners.

Make This Beautifully Layered and Embossed Wedding Card

Hello everyone! Anya here today to share another wedding card that features the “Wedding  Bliss” collection. I used lots of layers for this card, including one that was embossed with the beautiful  Dainty Damask Embossing Folder.

Since this collection has a number of papers with gold foil accents, I thought adding a die cut sentiment in gold would be a perfect match. To do that, I used the Love Story Die Set and the Gold Shimmer Cardstock by Carta Bella.

Also, I wanted to add a pocket inside the card, that can hold a gift card or monetary present. I used one of the cards from 4 x 6 Journaling Cards pattern paper, punched half circle on top and added it to the card, adhering only three sides.

A Week of Celebrating Dad | Day 5

Hi friends!  It's Wendy Sue here today, sharing a quick and easy little gift wrap project just in time for Father's Day!  Don't worry - it'll only take a few minutes to whip up and it will be the perfect way to present your gift to dear old Dad!

I used the "Once Upon a Time - Prince" collection to create this sweet little gift bag.   The actual bag is cut from a file in the Silhouette store - but any gift bag shape will work just fine!  I actually embellished the "back" of the bag so it could still easily be opened to reveal the gift inside.

I just love the gold foil in this collection.  It's hard to photograph, but trust me - it makes ALL the difference and is amazing in real life!  And how about those die-cut letters?  The "Magic & Wonder" Alphabet is perfect for personalizing any project!!

I can't wait to fill this bag with some of Dad's favorite treats and a gift card for his favorite restaurant.

A Week of Celebrating Dad | Day 4

Hello Echo Park Fans! It's Jana Eubank. I'm so grateful for my husband and the time he invests in the relationships with our children. It only seemed fitting on this week we are celebrating dads that I create a layout about how much I appreciate all that he does for our family.

 

 

For this page, I pulled out the Grandson Mini Theme and a gorgeous sheet of Chestnut Brown Linen Designer Cardstock by Carta Bella Paper. I am not a grandmother yet, but that doesn't mean that I can't use this collection. I LOVE the patterns in this mini theme ... the combination of the plaid with the woodgrain and bright colors is fantastic! I simply chose the elements from the collection that would work for my page and covered up any words that didn't apply.

 

 

In the top corner of the page, I made a little cluster of word stickers. I love the phrase "So there's this boy..." because it reminds me of how I used to talk about my husband when we were dating. Hehe! He is the boy that captured my heart and has kept it all of these years!

 

 

I cut out the orange hexagon shape from one of the journaling cards to use as a frame for my title. The title was cut on my electronic cutting machine. I then used the tag stickers and a couple of punched woodgrain stars around the title for a bit more pizazz.

 

 

More punched stars and buttons are sprinkled above the tags, framing and drawing your attention to the journaling strips.

 

 

To balance the color going on around the page, I also layered and grouped together a few of the solid stickers in the upper right corner of my photo.

A Week of Celebrating Dad | Day 3

Hey there Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here to share with you a card I created using the Once Upon A Time, Prince collection. I've been playing with this collection and knew it would be the perfect collection to create a masculine card with. I also used some designer dies and stamps to create this card. 

The stitched rectangle is one of my favorite dies. It's great for cards! I cut two sizes of rectangles (one green and one light blue). I added a layer of foam under the blue layer for a bit of added dimension. 

The "celebrate" portion of the sentiment is cut from the Birthday Party Word Designer die set. One of my favorite ways to create sentiments for cards is to combine fonts. By using a stamped word and a die cut word I created additional interest with the title.

 

I grounded the title with a strip of wood grain patterned paper, striped patterned paper and a navy blue die cut. To add texture and a bit more color to the card, I added a few enamel dots and a brown/white twine bow.

My kids have already staked their claim on this card and are SO excited to give it to their dad on Father's Day.

A Week of Celebrating Dad | Day 2

Hello everyone! With Father’s Day approaching, I thought to make a few cards for the special men in our family. Anya here today to share one of the cards I created.

If you are looking to create a masculine card, you can’t go wrong with the “Transatlantic Travel collection!

Adding some die cut gears to a masculine card is always a great element to include! I used the beautiful Light Silver Shimmer Cardstock by Carta Bella to cut out the gears and arranged them in a slight cascade from the top left to bottom right corners.

Large brads always look great on masculine cards. I added the one from the Yacht Club collection. And as always, the last finishing step for any card I create is covering the back panel with a coordinating pattern paper.

A Week of Celebrating Dad | Day 1

Hello Echo Park Fans - it's Tya up on the blog today sharing with you a fun Father's Day card. I loved the cheery, bright colors in the  Carta Bella Toy Box line- so I used a few items from that collection to make this card:

To make this card I used a kraft cardstock base and then started adding some of my favorite papers from the 6x6 paper pad. To make my title - I got a little creative with one of my metal die cuts. I used the Dream Big die cut and used the "d's" and the "a" from the word "dream" I cut the letters from some solid red paper and then added them onto the back of one of the tags from the Frames and Tags Ephemera.  I added a small banner from the Chipboard Accents under the title. It says "favorite"  - perfect sentiment for Dad. I used 2 star die cuts from the Dream Big die as well and cut them from some sheet music and red star papers from the 6x6 pad.

I absolutely love the mini paper fans, so I had to add one of them to my card. I cut a circle from the Stitched Circle Nesting Die Set and glued it onto the front of the fan. I added an enamel #1 shape to the circle from the Toy Box Enamel Shapes. And how cute is the toy soldier standing at attention - I loved adding him for a little manly touch. He is from the Element Sticker sheet.

To finish the card I added some brown twine and wrapped it around a piece of blue paper. If you look closely you can see that I embossed this paper with the Mini Triangles embossing folder. The final touch was a grey button tied with a twine bow and glued to the card.

This was such a fun card to make and I am so excited to give it to my dad. It's always so fun to use themed kits in a new and different way. The Toy Box collection was so fun to work with! Happy crafting and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!

"Always & Forever" Wedding Bliss Card

Hello Echo Park Paper friends! Anya here today to share a card that features the stunning “Wedding Bliss” collection! One of my favorite things in this release was a Dainty Damask Embossing Folder. It will turn any plain piece of paper into a very delicate embossed pattern!

Mini Paper Fans are one of the best ways to add a bold statement to any card. Here, I used a black and white striped paper fan. To tie it in with the other elements, I added two more black details: a sticker and a die cut word “forever” from the Always and Forever Designer Die Set.

To finish off the card, I added two pink brads, a pink bow, button and a pink flower from my stash.

"Mr. & Mrs." Layout

Hello everyone! Welcome to the blog today! It's Tya and I am sharing with you today a layout featuring the stunning Wedding Bliss line. This line is so elegant and has so many wonderful elements that made making this layout super fun.

Here are a few close ups of the layout :

I started making my layout by using a sheet of Wedding Floral for the background. I then layered a sheet of the pink side of the True Love paper on top of that. I also added (2) 4x6 pieces of paper that are behind the photos. I used a piece of  Wedding Script and a piece of Silver Shimmer cardstock. I embossed the Silver Shimmer cardstock with the beautiful Dainty Damask embossing folder for some texture.

In the bottom corner of the layout I added a cluster of embellishments. I used a large flower cluster , banner and the Love sentiment from the Wedding Bliss sticker sheet. The pink heart is a die cut from the Tags and Frames Ephemera and I added a small enamel dot to the heart. The leaves were cut out on my Silhouette using the Flower cut file. I used some black and tan solid pattern paper to cut those out. I also added some soft pink tulle and a pearl and rhinestone brad to finish this cluster off. 

On the bottom right corner of the layout I die cut a label from the black solid paper from the Label #3 Die Set. Before I added the label, I added some black glitter paste to the layout using the Magical Dot Stencil as a pattern. 

In the upper right corner of the layout I added another cluster of embellishments. I used one of the Mini Paper Fans as a base. I added the Mr and Mrs sticker to the fan. I also added a flower bouquet sticker and tucked it under the fan. I added 2 banner pieces from the Ephemera pack. I added another die cut leaf. To finish this cluster off I added a bit more tulle, another pearl brad and a small pink sticker. I also added a small gray enamel dot to the heart .

I really enjoyed making this layout and I am so happy to be able to record this beautiful event for 2 people that I love. This line is filled with lovely icons and the pattern papers have a little gold foil added to them for some extra shine. The whole line is just gorgeous! Hopefully I have inspired you to pick some up. Happy crafting everyone!
