Echo Park and Carta Bella Dies, Stamps, Embossing Folders and Stencils
Did you know that we design amazing add-on products for many of our collections? These may include dies, stamps, embossing folders, and stencils. And each one is designed to both work with the collections, as well as, stand alone giving you so many options for creating cards, layouts, and more! Recently Jen Gallacher shared a few ideas for using these add-on products. By concentrating on just these tools, she created some very dynamic cards that anyone would be happy to receive. Here’s a look at just a few of the ideas you can use to create your own cards:
“Joy” Card:
This card features partial stenciling with a random dot stencil, die cuts using our white and gold shimmer cardstock, and stamping with our Cabana Stripe background stamp.
“You’re the Best” Card:
This card features the Cabana Stripe background stamp in black on our white cardstock. Then Jen added a flower and tropical leaf die cut to the card. And she also added white embossed stamping to create the sentiment on our stitched circle die cut.
“Enjoy” Card:
This card features an embossed background. A black die cut stitched circle, tropical leaf die cuts and our white cardstock. It’s a dynamic way to use our dies and stamps.

Back to School Week: School Supply Organizer
Hi there - it's Tya and I am up on the blog today sharing with you all my Back to School project. I have to admit - I kind of am obsessed with all the back to school products from the pencils, to the crayons to the markers and notebooks - I love it all! But- what I don't love are those boring plastic pencil boxes that hide all of the goodies. So I decided to make a fun desk organizer using my Silhouette Cameo to showcase all of the fun bits!
I used a Desk Organizer cut file designed by Lori Whitlock and cut out the base from Kraft cardstock. I then used a piece of This Way Men pattern paper from the Toy Box collection from Carta Bella. I assembled my box with some sticky strip tape to make sure that it stays nice and sturdy. I also added a plaid sticker strip to the front of the box. The sticker is found on the Element Sticker.
To decorate the box front, I used a few different Echo Park cut files that are in the Silhouette shop. To make the label, I cut out a label from some blue solid paper. I utilized the Print and Cut feature on the Silhouette to make the "School Supplies" title. I added the title to the blue label and then added pop dots to the back of the blue label and added the label to the box.
I added some fun stickers from the Element Stickers to the label with pop dots and and also added an enamel star and some enamel dots to complete the decorations.
On the top section of the box, I added a piece of blue twine and glued the ends to the sides of the box. I then added some of the chipboard banner pieces from the Chipboard Shapes to the top of the twine.
Then fill up the organizer with any of your favorite school supplies! No boring plastic boxes here! I hope I have inspired you to make of of these cute boxes for your little students! Happy crafting everyone!

Back To School Week: Back To School Layout
Get more mileage out of your summer paper collections by using them for projects outside of the season. Hi, Everyone! Jana Eubank here. Today I'm sharing with you a Back to School layout created with the Under the Sea collection.
I adore using clever puns and a play on words in my scrapbooking, so when I was challenged with creating a Back to School project I couldn't help but think of the "school" of fish waiting for me in the Under the Sea collection.
I knew right away that I wanted to incorporate a school of fish in a band surrounding my page title. I used a band of Aquatic Fun Paper to set the scene and then built my title on top of it. I die cut the word "school" using my Silhouette Cameo machine and then used letter stickers (Birthday Wishes - Boy collection) to spell out the rest of the phrase.
I then added several of the fish from the Elements Sticker Sheet all around the title phrase, popping them up with foam squares for a bit of dimension.
I used the pennant stickers from the Sticker Sheet to create a banner across the top ... I love how the triangle and half circle pennants fit on top of the coordinating scallop pennants for a layered look!
In the top right corner of my page design I added information about the photo, layering them on top of a couple of die cuts from the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack. The cloud die cut mimics the die cut clouds (Under the Weather Metal Die Set) on the other side of the page.
The primary colors of the Under the Sea collection were a perfect for scrapping these photos of my daughter on her first day of 3rd Grade, and the fish were a delightful twist to the typical pencils and crayons you see on Back to School pages. I loved shaking it up a bit this time!
I hope this has inspired you to take a second look at your paper collections to see if you can use a play of words or a clever pun to use them outside of their intended purpose.

Back to School Week: School Days Layout
Hello Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here to share a back to school layout with you. Summer is winding down and that means the kids will be going back to school soon. I love back to school time, not because I love my kids to be in school. I actually enjoy having them home. What I do love about back to school time is the fact that we get back into a routine and start a brand new school year with a clean slate. It's a time of new beginnings.
Last fall my daughter started the 6th grade. I wanted to document the start of her school year with a nontraditional "back to school" layout. I dove into my stash and pulled out the "Summer Fun" collection. This collection is full of bold, classic colors with a pop of black. While this collection is summer themed, I used a lot of die cuts to make the collection work for the back to school theme.
The base design element of this layout is the large pie chart to the left of the photo. I filled each section of the pie chart with a different colored patterned paper. Before I adhered the pie chart to the layout, I carefully stitched around the pie chart with my sewing machine and white thread.
After adhering the photo to the layout, I die cut three flowers using the Summer Bloom die set. Each flower is a little bit different. I love the brad in the center of the flower. The brads add such a fun pop of texture to the layout.
THe title of this layout is created with a die cut title (school) and stamping (days). I've fallen in love with the Carter alphabet stamp set. It's so versatile.
As a finishing touch to the layout, I stitched four 1/2" strips of black and white striped paper to the edges.
I love how this layout came together! Even though Summer is winding down, don't put those Summer collections away. Use your dies to stretch the themes and use those Summer collections. Thank you for stopping by the Echo Park blog. I'll see you again soon!
