Christmas Card Inspiration Week: Day 3

Good morning everyone, Anya here today to share my dose of inspiration for the Week of Christmas Cards. My card today features the cozy “Cabin Fever” collection by Carta Bella. I used a white and blue color combination with a pop of red, which is a great color scheme for any winter card.  

To create this card I made a few layers with pattern papers and built my main part of the card on a tag from the Ephemera pack. I used a snow globe sticker and a bunch of branches that were cut with the “Thank You Branch” Designer Die Set.

An addition of red Enamel Dots give the look of winter berries on frosted branches. I like how quickly this design comes together, yet it looks bright and happy.

Christmas Card Inspiration Week: Day 2

Hey there Echo Park friends and fans, Becki here to share a Christmas card with you that I created with the "A Perfect Christmas" collection. One of the many things I love about the "A Perfect Christmas" collection is the "Be Merry" die set. Not only does that die set have an awesome sentiment, it also has the most amazing branches. I LOVE both of the branches but I think the pine branch has to be my favorite! Both of these branches are perfectly paired withe light/dark green solid paper that coordinate with the "A Perfect Christmas". I wanted to make the die cuts shine on this card!

The front of the card simply has two patterned papers. The top portion of the card is wood grain patterned paper and the bottom of the card has a strip of red plaid patterned paper. 

The "be merry" sentiment really needed to shine on this card. To make that happen, I added a white paper doily to the center of the wood grain patterned paper. In the center of the doily, I added the "be Merry" sentiment that I cut from red patterned paper found in the 6x6 paper pad. 

Below and to the left of the sentiment, I added several green branches. These die cut branches add beautiful texture and dimension to the card. 

I cut several branches with the die set from the green paper. When I adhered the branches to the card I adhered the pine branches with the dark green side up and the other branches with the light green side up. I wanted both shades of green on the card. When I adhered the branches to the card, I only adhered the stems. By adhering only the stems, there is more texture because the top of the stems are free to move slightly.

Christmas Card Inspiration Week: Day 1

Hello, friends! It's Jana Eubank here. The holidays are such a magical time of year and I love that the "A Perfect Christmas" collection captures that! For that very reason, I couldn't resist using the "Believe in the Magic of Christmas" cut apart card from the Multi Journaling Cards paper on my holiday card today.

 

 

I cut out the card and then layered it on top of the 4x6 postcard cut apart card from the 4x6 Journaling Cards paper. I then matted it with the snowflake paper from the 6x6 paper pad and placed it on an Ebony Black Felt cardstock card base.

 

 

I adorned the bottom of the card with various stickers from the Element Sticker sheet. That sleigh looks like it just needs a little sprinkling of pixie dust and then it will be on it's way!

"Welcome Home" Hello Card

Good morning crafty friends! Anya here today and I would like to share a card that features one of my favorite releases this year - the “Welcome Home” collection.

To create this card I started with a 4x6” piece of the “Herb Garden” patterned paper, added a thin strip of white/green stripe paper, and a 2.5x4” piece from the green side of the “4x6 Journaling Cards” pattern paper. Then, I cut a tag from the “Keep Life Happy” pattern paper and a 3x4 stitched rectangle piece from the “Stay Awhile” patterned paper and added them to the card, slightly offsetting. 

Next, I added a few different stickers and Ephemera pieces, adding foam adhesive to some of them. To the back panel of the card I added the brown woodgrain paper from the “Full of Joy” patterned paper. A “hello” chipboard piece and a few enamel dots finished this card.

"Welcome Home" Card Duo

Hello everyone, Anya here today to share two cards featuring the “Country Kitchen” collection!

For my first card I created a partial circle window using different sizes of the Circle nesting dies.

For the window scenery I trimmed a piece from the Farm Land pattern paper and adhered it to the base of the card before attaching the piece with a partial circle window. I decorated the card with lots of stickers and some die cut leaves.

My second card was based on the pretty Dinner Plates pattern paper. 

Then, I used a piece of coordinating solid paper and added machine stitching to this layer. The cluster of embellishment surrounds the sentiment sticker.

To have my embellishments stand out a little better, I used a white doily behind them. For me, rarely any card is complete without a brad or enamel dots.

"Our Family" Decorative Frame

 

I'm always looking for creative ways to display family photos around our home. The Our Family collection includes several heartwarming quotes that are perfect for framing. Add a photo and you have an instant keepsake!

 

 

To create the frame for the photo, use a 2.75" circle punch to punch a circle in the Family Memories Paper, I centered the punch in the middle of one of the damask designs. Next, position the Stitched Circle Nesting Die so that it is centered over the punched hole and secure the die in place temporarily with washi tape. Run the paper and die through a manual die cutting machine to create the frame. Adhere the frame to your photo and trim away the excess.

A Summer Layout Featuring "Country Kitchen!"

Hello everyone, Anya here today to share a layout featuring the “Country Kitchen” collection.

I based my layout on a pretty plaid paper, the Rose Garden, but I did cut out the middle part of this paper to fussy cut some of those beautiful flowers.

For my title I used the word “summer” from the Summer Splash Word Die Set and adhered it in a curve.

I decorated the layout with some doilies, ephemera and stickers.
