Record Your "Mom Life" On A Layout!

Good morning memory keepers! I am sure there are a lot of moms among us and the “I am Mom” collection can relate to you just as much as it does to me. Anya here today and I would love to share a layout I created using this beautiful collection.

I was so inspired by all the fun images in this line, I wanted to use as many of those as possible on a layout, since each and every one of them reminded me of my life as a mom. I printed a few random photos in black and white, used a circle punch to cut them and arranged all of the pieces on a page in a large circle. I also used a few fussy cut flowers from the “Give Mom Flowers” paper and enamel dots.

There’s also a stamp set that coordinates with this line and I used it, along with a stamp set from the “Coffee” collection, to add small phrases as bits of journaling. I hope I’ve inspired you to create a layout in a style, where stickers, ephemera and chipboard images tell the most of your story.

A Mother's Hug Card with the "I Am Mom" Collection

I don't know a woman on earth that wouldn't love to receive a beautiful, handmade card from someone letting her know just how much they are appreciated. Hi, everyone! It's Jana Eubank. Today I have a card to share with you using the I Am Mom collection.

 

 

The color scheme of this collection makes me so happy! I couldn't wait to use it to create a bouquet of paper flowers with the Flowers Bloom Die Set for the bottom of this card.

 

 

 

The 3x4 Journaling Cards paper includes so many phrases that would be fun to feature on a card. For this one, I chose to use the one that says, "A Mother's Hug Lasts Long After She Lets Go."

 

 

 

I used a combination of the Coordinating Solid papers and the 6x6 paper pad to give these die cut flowers lots of depth and dimension. The black enamel dot flower centers really make them POP!

A Wonderful and Amazing "Circus" Card Set

Good morning everyone! Anya here today and it is my pleasure to be here sharing a few cards I created using the new “Circus” collection by Carta Bella.

My inspiration for these cards was the fun chipboard accents! I layered them with stickers and fussy cut elements.

I simply can not finish a card without adding a piece of patterned paper to cover the back panel. I really like how it adds that finishing touch to a completed card and balances everything on the front panel.

For this card I used a 6x6” version of the Three Ring Circus paper. I’ve cut a bunch of these little cards and added a vertical line of them with pop dots. To balance them off, I added an elephant chipboard piece and a few fussy cut circles from the Music Sheet patterned paper.

DIY Coffee Gift Bags

Good morning everyone! Does your morning start with a smell of fresh brewed coffee? Mine sure does! Anya here today and I would like to share a few coffee bags I created for my coffee loving friends using the Coffee collection.

      

To create these bags I digitally cut each treat bag that was slightly altered (I changed the decorative window opening with three hearts). After assembling the bag together, I added a small plastic bag filled with coffee inside the treat bag and closed it with a glue dot.

Decorating each bag was my favorite part. I picked decorative pieces and stickers that matched the color of the bag and arranged them at the top flap and added additional decorations in the centers of some bags.

In addition to stickers and ephemera, some of my favorite decorative pieces were the little fussy cut cups and banners from the Coffee Blend paper.

Hello there - it's Tya up on the blog today. Wow! What a cute collection this is! I had such a fun time making this fun little card that would be perfect to give to your favorite coffee lover. 

The Element sticker sheet was where I got most of the accents for this card. I used the barista, coffee cup, coffee heart , but first banner and the Coffee label are all stickers.The blue plaid frame is from the Frames and Tags Ephemera. Here are a few close ups:

 I always like to add a few different types of embellishments on my cards to add some finishing touches. I added 3 enamel dots in the upper left corner and I added some pink twine and a black brad to the edge of the blue frame.

How cute is that little barista girl with her cups of coffee in each hand? Love her!

"I Am Mom" Mini Album

Hello Echo Park fans! It's Tya up on the blog today.  Boy did I have fun making this little mini. I love little projects like this with a specific theme in mind! The I Am Mom collection was so fun to play with. I found a few of my favorite pictures I have with my kiddos and celebrated the hardest yet most rewarding job I have ever had!

 This album was made using 3 x 5 inch tags as the base and I did add some additional tags and other bits of Ephemera to the album as well. The mini was decorated with Ephemera, chipboard pieces, stickers, buttons, enamel dots and a few scallop circle die cuts as well.  Here are the close ups of each page:

Circus Themed Birthday Wish Layout

Hello! Jana Eubank here. I am head-over-heels for the NEW Carta Bella Paper Circus collection and knew I had to use it for one of my son's birthday memories.

 

I had three photos for this page and I knew that I wanted to line them up in a row. I put the largest photo in the center and then the two smaller, supporting photos on either side. 

 

I cut a large circle from the Multi Journaling Cards paper and matted it with a wavy circle that I cut from the Navy Felt Designer Carstock using my electronic die cutting machine. The large red starburst pattern from this paper really draws your attention to the photos and makes them "center-stage."

 

 

Nothing says "party" like a banner! I used a banner punch and the Three Ring Circus patterned paper from the 6x6 paper pad to create a mini banner out of the different characters on the cards. The striped triangle pennant pieces were also punched from the 6x6 paper pad. I adhered the banner pieces in a row to my background and then used my sewing machine to stitch across the top so they appear to be strung together.

 

 

I used my scissors to cut out a few rows of tickets from the Admission Tickets paper. I used them as a border for the row of photos and the second word of my title to "sit" on. To the left of the title I build a fun little embellishment cluster using the Chipboard Ringmaster and Marching Band Mouse along with a couple of fun pieces from the Frames & Tags Ephemera pack. (Nothing says "Birthday" like a clown!"

 

 

I scattered a few stars around the page to tie things together, and also used them to dot the letter "i" in each word of my title. I love adding little details like that!

"Circus" Party Set

Hi there! Hope you are all doing well! It's Tya up on the blog today sharing a fun party set with the adorable Circus collection. This collection is simply so fun! I loved all the circus themed colors and icons!  It made making this set so easy!

I chose to do 3 different party favors you could use for a circus themed party. First off is a gift bag. I found a small blue gift bag at the craft store. I cut out a square of yellow and white dot paper from the 6x6 paper pad for the background. I then made a medallion/badge accent on the card using some blue striped pattern paper from the 6x6 paper pad, some chipboard shapes, stickers and Ephemera. I mounted the medallion shape to the front of the bag with some foam tape. I added a few enamel dots as well. I finished the bag off with some blue bakers twine.

Next I made a popcorn box from a cut file that I cut out with my Silhouette. I used a 12x12 piece of Join the Circus paper to make the box. The box is decorated with a yellow banner shape cut from some solid yellow paper from the 6x6 paper pad. Then I added a chipboard clown and stars, some more Ephemera and enamel dots as well. I tied a bow on a bag of popcorn with more of the blue bakers twine.

The last favors I made were a couple of cupcake wrappers cut from the Greatest Show 12x12 paper and a cut file on my Silhouette. I added some chipboard animals to a plastic stick and added a few word stickers, chipboard stars and enamel dots. I also finished these off with more blue bakers twine.

Stenciled "It's A Wonderful Life" Scrapbook Layout

Have you tried using any of the stencils that coordinate with each collection? Hi, everyone! Jana Eubank here with a scrapbook page featuring the Coffee collection and the coordinating Coffee Dot stencil.

 

I tend to shy away from complicated mixed media techniques, but I have recently discovered just how easy it is to use the stencils to create interesting background effects! If you can spread butter on a piece of toast, then you will be a pro at this technique.

 

Here's a look at the completed page. Can you see where I used the Coffee Dot stencil? 

 

 

To get this look, all I did was place the stencil on the background paper, and then use a flat card (an old gift card works great!) to spread gold glaze through the openings. Allow the glaze to dry completely and you are ready to build your design.

 

Other ways you can use the stencils to add pattern to your pages would be to spray mist across the stencil, or use a dauber or sponge and an ink pad to blot on color through the openings.

 

 

I used gold mist in other areas of the layout to repeat the color of the gold glaze. 

 

 

If you know me, you know that I LOVE to fussy-cut out designs from patterned papers to use as elements in my layout. Here I cut out the flower clusters from the Wake Up and Smell the Flowers paper. I also cut out the "It's a Wonderful Life" phrase from the 4x6 Horizontal Journaling Cards paper to use as a title.

 

 

I extended the stenciled gold glaze down below my photo block. I love the way it looks peeking out between my journaling strips.

"Adventure Awaits" Card Set

Hello Echo Park friends! Anya here today and I’d like to share a set of cards I created using the Adventure Awaits collection. I have always loved the patterned paper that I could fussy cut elements from, and when I saw the “Fearless Feathers” paper I knew I would be fussy cutting those beautiful feathers.

To make these cards, I started with a 4 ¼” x 6 ¼” white card base, added a few layers of patterned paper, used one of the cards from the 3x4 Journaling Cards paper and added fussy cut feathers popping some up with pop dots for dimension. I finished the cards by adding a few stickers and chipboards pieces.
