Hi, there! It’s Jana Eubank and today I am sharing a layout about my daughter and one of her first experiences singing a solo in front of a large auditorium filled with people. It was something she had always wanted to do, and was definitely a blooming moment for her!
I used the 3x4 Journaling Cards paper with its soft pink color for the background of this page. Before I began adhering photos or anything else, I used a scraper tool to add gesso in a large circle in the center of the page. On top of that I used texture paste and the Market Dot 6x6 Stencil to add a subtle, dimensional pattern. You can catch a glimpse of the texture if you look closely at the right side of the photo below.
I fussy-cut the smaller floral from the Border Strips paper to hug the corner of my photos. I die cut the Lovely Branches using Evergreen Shimmer Cardstock to add to the flower cluster and fill it out a bit more. I love how much dimension the die cuts add!
Next, I stamped my title in dark green ink using the Echo Park Animal Safari Alphabet Stamp Set. I die cut an Ampersand using the dark pink polka dot paper from the 6x6 Paper Pad. Another fussy-cut flower from the 2x2 Squares paper accents the title.
To tie everything together I added cream enamel dots and heart stickers (Element Sticker) in a few spots around the page.
The best part of making this layout was adding the textured details with the stencil, die cut leaves, and enamel dots. I loved making this page!
