Hello everyone! It's Dorymar back on the blog today! I want to share with you a beautiful mini album I designed with the colorful “Best Summer Ever Collection” by Echo Park. This collection is perfect to document your Summer memories!
This mini album is very interactive with tons of flaps, pockets, tags and pop-ups! It is full of beautiful elements from the collection…I love how every page turned out!
This album measures 6” x 8” with a 3” spine and can hold up to 35 photos. I used the Ultra-White Cardstock to make the base of the pages. To cover the exterior of the mini, I used a combination of Summer Words, Food Truck and Sunnies papers from the collection. To decorate it, I used an Ice Cream Truck cut file from the Silhouette Design Store and personalized it with the fabulous Sweet Treats Die Set. So cute!
I decorated the cover with pieces from the ephemera pack, chipboard pieces, stickers, buttons, a beautiful purple ribbon, and a few enamel dots. I had a lot of fun layering the different pieces on this cover!
For the first page spread, I used a piece of the Fun in the Sun (left page) and a piece of the Sweet Treats paper (right page) to cover the pages and use as background. I layered pieces of the Good Vibes and Sunnies papers to decorate the background. I embellished the pages with chipboard stickers, pink ribbon, and stickers. I always use pop dots underneath the stickers and other elements to give them dimension. Finally, I made a cute tag from the Multi Journaling cards paper and decorated it with ribbon, a button and thread.
I love to add different interactive elements to my projects such as flaps, pockets and pop-ups. I learned how to make the pop-ups on these pages in a tutorial I found on You Tube. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iE3OdsYDGvg&t=659s. Around the mats, I decorated with several pieces of the Element Sticker Sheet and the Frames and Tags Ephemera Pack.
To have extra photo spaces, I created a pocked filled with 3x4 Journaling Cards. I added some Chipboard Elements along each side of the photo mats to highlight them. I decorated the tag with ribbon, a button and some thread.
This page spread is my favorite! It also has two fun pop-ups decorated with fussy cut flowers from one of the papers of the collection’s 6x6 Paper Pad. I also cut out a few branches from the Green/Dk. Pink Coordinating Solid Paper using the Forest Branches Die Set to add more detail to the flowers cluster.
The right page on the next spread has a flap that opens to the left. It has a photo mat and a tag. I used pink and yellow ribbon to decorate the tag and added some thread.
On the inside, to the right, the flap has two photo mats. On the back of the flap, there is a pocket with pull-out cards that you can use as photo mats.
The next two spreads have beautiful clusters of stickers, ephemera and chipboard stickers. I used more ribbon to add more colors and dimension.
I had a lot of fun designing this project and I hope it inspires you to create your own with the stunning Best Summer Ever Collection! Thanks for stopping by!
Happy scrapping!
