Hiya scrappy peeps! Suzanna here today. Are you ready for the Best Summer Ever? I know I am! And I know that I’m looking forward to being able to document all those upcoming summer memories with this fantastic collection from Echo Park!
This storyboard with four wallet sized photos afforded me the ability to get a lot of photos on the layout and still have white space that the eye can rest upon without being overwhelmed. I love that you can use a lot of a collection with “support” elements, such as all the speech bubbles on the right hand side with relevant ephemera, and still have a lot of photos with this 4x6 collage.
The right hand “border” of the page consists of a collage of speech bubbles with some fun summer thought. Patterned papers from the 6x6 paper pad are mingled with the coordinating cardstock that I cut using the Summer Thought Bubbles Die Set. Sprinkled amongst those are pre-printed speech bubbles.
Journaling can be found on the tag underneath the title of the layout. The title is a mix of the chipboard “summer” and one of the other die sets that accompany this collection along with thin letters from my stash in black. The left hand side of the page needed that touch of black to balance the black in the sunglasses and the ice cream truck on the right hand side of the page.
Look at that adorable little rag-a-muffin and her Dora ice cream! I can remember this day as if it were yesterday instead of the 10 years ago that it has been.
