Hello again; It’s Lydia Cost today. I’m back again today to share a tag album that I created using the amazing I Love Spring collection! As I was working with it, I was longing for the sunshine that all the photos in this little album promise. I can’t wait for spring to actually be here!
I loved all the little tag illustrations in this collection, so I thought a little 3x4 tag flip album was the perfect thing to create with this collection. There were so many tags on the papers that it was such a breeze to create my mini album with all kinds of pretty bits.
I chose to use the beautiful butterfly paper for my cover. I fell absolutely in love with this paper, and I’m so glad I have another sheet to play with on another project. It’s so darn pretty.
I always like to decorate my albums with a little bit of fabric or ribbon. I really do think that textiles bring character and dimension to all papercrafting projects, so I certainly wasn’t going to leave it out here. I chose to bring out all the colors on my cover paper by adding various colors of ribbon. Bright pinks, oranges, mints, and yellows helped make my album pop even more.
I also spray painted my metal ring to match. I don’t do this very often, but it really makes for a cohesive look when you have a matching ring for your project. I chose a pretty pink color to match the color scheme.
Next I started to fill up my little mini album with photos, journaling, and all kinds of embellishments. I added little pockets with brad fasteners, tassels, vellum, and shaker pockets to make this little album extra special.
I did my best to layer up stickers on top of papers to add even more character and dimension. I really love adding chunky dimension into all my mini albums, because I personally love the way they turn out.
