Hello friends, It’s Dorymar here today with a fun layout with the Scenic Route Collection, this collection is perfect for any traveling adventures. It has tons of beautiful goodies you will love every piece.
I started my base with the Map of Europe paper and the b-side of the Airplanes paper, I reduced the Airplanes paper at 11.5 x11.5 and adhere it on front of the Map of Europe paper.
To build this page, I made some splatters with blue dye ink and used a digital cut file from Echo Park designs at Silhouette Store, Travel Globe (ID: 189571), to create the focal point with the title. The picture was then added under the title and then I just added a few more embellishments from the sticker book, brads, and element stickers around it.
The empty spaces of the globe were backed with different patterned papers from the collection found in the 6x6 Paper Pad. I added a few baggage tags and I fussy cut from the b-side of 4x6 journaling cards paper behind the title and created a little cluster with stickers from the collection.
On the left side of the title, I fussy cut the travel lady from the 4x6 journaling cards paper and added a bunch of luggage from the cardstock sticker to decorate. A bit of foam adhesive was added to create dimension.
I Love how this turned out! The new Scenic Route Collection from Echo Park is the perfect collection to document your travel memories. You are going to love it!

It’s Lydia Cost today, and I’m sharing a little junk journal that I created with the Scenic Route collection. This collection is perfect for mixing in your favorite collected vintage ephemera and little bits of things collected from your travels. I can’t think of a more perfect collection for just that!
To create this particular travel journal, I cut some papers to a 6x8 size, so that they could be folded to make a 4x6 book. I then tucked in some journaling cards, pockets, and frames into the spine, so that they could be stitched in too. I love how it looks flipping through a junk journal, when you have many different textures and sizes of papers inside. It makes it so much fun to tuck in your airline tickets, little photos, and bits of maps or itineraries.
Next I prepared my little book by arranging my papers along the center; I then ran it through my sewing machine, so that it all would be attached in a little book. After I had my book assembled, I arranged it so that I had plenty of pockets for adding photos and journaling.
I added some stitched on tissue paper and wax paper recycled from my travels to create some great pockets. They also made a really great place to journal on. It really helps create a fluid space to add typed journaling on top of busy patterned papers.
Some pages I left simple to add lots of journaling of what I did during those days, and then others I added several photos and let them do all the talking. What’s great about these little junk journals is they fit perfectly into your purse or carry on, so you can easily document whatever you are doing on any given day of travel. There are plenty of places to tuck in movie tickets, baggage claim tickets, and special pieces of your days spent adventuring.

Hey everyone, Dorymar here today with a new gorgeous project to share using the stunning Summer Market Collection from Carta Bella. This project is one that I wanted to work on for a long time, but I did not find the perfect collection to do it until I saw the Summer Market. The Memory Dex projects have been in fashion for some time and in my opinion, they are super crafty you can create many cards as you want. They are just FANTASTIC!
To create this majestic project, I used my Silhouette Cameo and three digital files that I found in their online store. I started the project from scratch by first creating the box to place my cards. For this, use the Ultra White linen cardstock to create the base and I covered it with the B-side of Summer Day Floral and Journaling Cards paper.
One of the beautiful designs that the collection has is a truck with flowers, I wanted to incorporate it into the project and for that, I used the digital file “BOX CARD VALENTINE RED TRUCK BACK END” by Lori Whitlock (ID-313292) because it seemed perfect and I used the beautiful Tiny Flowers paper mixed with solid papers of the collection to create the base of the card. Then I decorated with the stickers and fussy cut some flowers from the Best Summer Floral paper.
I created 6 cards including envelopes, folding cards, and single cards using the following files: Memory Dex Box and Cards, Memory Dex Envelopes, and Memory Dex Fold over Cards from Silhouette Store. I decorated each of them with the stickers, chipboards, frames, tags, enamel dots, and brads of the collection. This collection is so full of beautiful designs that the moment you start using them, you can't stop, they are FANTASTIC.
Below are some close-up, so you can appreciate all the details.
In each card I incorporated pieces cut in different sizes to be able to add the journaling and the photos.
The envelopes and cards are perfect to add your photos and your journal, you can add all the cards you want and decorate them without leaving a space because the beauty of these Memory Dex is that in addition to documenting your stories, all your cards are an explosion of fun.
Once I started creating and started putting the cards in my box, I fell more in love with the project and I’m crazy excited to add my photos.
I hope this project is inspirational and if you do not have a digital machine to cut the designs, you can find hundreds of patterns on the internet and start your summer project now.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello there, lovely friends; It’s Lydia Cost today. I wanted to share something I little different with you today. I don’t frequently share my art journal pages with the world, because they are so heartfelt, but this one was way too much fun and pretty not to share with all of you.
As soon as I had the Carta Bella Summer Market collection in my hands, I was instantly in love. I really couldn’t help myself; I was just so giddy looking at all those gorgeous illustrations. I was instantly drawn to the florals and fruits on the papers, and I knew I wanted to fussy-cut them to my heart’s content. Thankfully it suited my art journal perfectly, because I have always been a sucker for mixing paints with paper florals.
For this art journal spread, I began layering on some paint, india ink, and stains, and watercolors onto my background in similar colors as my florals. I based my background with a pretty sparkly yellow; I then built on top of that with a few great greens and blues. When you’re creating any mixed media project, white acrylic paint is your best friend, so I always lots of it on hand. To tone done the colors, I brushed on some white paint to add a nice subdued background for my fussy-cut florals to lay on.
I used the amazing “Summer Day Floral” paper in the collection for my fussy-cut florals. I chose about 3 large clusters of florals and then a couple other small pieces to tie the three together on my spread. Next I pulled out the amazing “Market Stripe” paper, and I fussy-cut out some of the amazing lemons in the collection. I really wanted these to accent my three points for my art journal spread.
Before adhering on my florals and lemons, I went about adding some amazing texture to my page. I ran some pink texture paste through the great EP 6x6 “Sunkissed Spots” stencil on my background. This little stencil has become one of my all-time favorites. I then pulled out a couple EP stamp sets, and I began adding some pops of red and black to tie in the rest of my art journal spread.
I finished up my spray painting on three numbers for my journaling topics. I adhered the lemons next to these numbers, and then set out to adhere my florals down. I used both heavy-duty fabric tape and mod podge to get those florals perfectly adhered! To finish up I pulled out the collection’s die set and die-cut the word “Happy.” It was the perfect representation of my spread.
This spread was all about the things in my life that make me truly happy. These pages are so filled with love and heart, and the Summer Market collection felt so inspirational to me! I hope it inspired you to go outside your comfort zone and get a little messy and play with your papers.
