It’s Lydia Cost today, and I’m so thrilled to be sharing a look inside my current pocket-page binder. I’ve been jumping around in seasons of documenting without a care in the world, and I absolutely loved documenting this cute-as-ever summer photos.
Pocket-page scrapbooking is one of my favorite ways to memory-keep, because it is so effortless. It’s so easy to pull pretty 3x4 and 4x6 cards from the paper collections to create some really great pocket spreads. For this one I chose two different pocket pages to put inside my 6x8 album.
I trimmed down the 3x4 journaling cards and the Multi Cards papers, so that I could arrange them on my pages. These two papers really do pack such a punch in any of your projects. Next I chose two photos that I wanted to use for my spread. I knew that one photo would be left at almost 4x6, so I wanted the other photo to be a lot smaller in comparison.
I even pulled out my die-cut machine, so that I could use some of the amazing dies in this collection. I fell instantly in love with the Word Die Set; I used it to cut out that fantastic “Relax” in red! I find that the 6x6 paper pads are my best friend, when it comes to the dies! It’s such a perfect little book of paper for those meticulous cuts!
I slipped one of my journaling cards through my typewriter, to add my journaling to my spread. I then layered on a great tag from the Frames & Tags pack. I trimmed off the bottom, to create a nice line to start my journaling under. I thought that little frame tied in the lounging lady perfectly!
I layered up lots of tags, stickers, and ephemera on my large 4x6 photo. I love doing this with large photos, because it really draws your eye into your photographs. This one highlights my little’s reaction to the very cold water of Lake Michigan on our first day at the beach last summer.
Pocket Scrapbooking really is as easy as that, and I had a blast putting this 6x8 spread together. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I can’t wait to see what you guys are creating with the amazing Dive Into Summer collection!
