Pack your bags, it's time for Summer Camp! Explore the wilderness and gather around the campfire with this charming new collection from Carta Bella. The retro inspired graphics and fun patterned papers are super-cute!! I'm Michelle Zerull, and today I'd like to share my vintage inspired luggage set made with papers and embellishments from the Summer Camp Collection.
My luggage set consists of two suitcases and a train case. The suitcases open and close with cute paper latches made from the Summer Camp Solids Kit. I embellished the latches with enamel dots left over from other Echo Park and Carta Bella collections. That's one of the great things about Echo Park; their collections coordinate perfectly!
The small suitcase opens to reveal a lining made from the "Wildflowers" Patterned Paper. You don't need to be a camper to love this floral. It will go with everything!
The large suitcase opens to reveal an interior lined with the "Summer Camp Words" Patterned Papers and embellished with a faux-postcard from the "6X4 Journaling Cards" Patterned Paper. I love those postcards! I intend to stick a label on the back of the other ones and pop them in the mail. Just like a real camper! Won't they be surprised to find them in their mailbox?
The body of the little train case was made with the "Night Sky" Patterned Paper and the lid was made with the "Summer Camp Squares" Patterned Paper. Each 2-inch square is a miniature work of art depicting detailed camping and outdoor scenes. I used one of the "leftover" squares to make the cute tag in the small suitcase. I I adore those little squares!
I thoroughly enjoyed making this project with the Summer Camp Collection. The hardest part was choosing which papers to use, because I love them all!
