Hello friends, It’s Dorymar today with a fun School Days mini album with the new School Rules Collection from Echo Park.
I created this album from scratch and the measurements are 6x7x2.25” and have 6 pages. On the cover, I decided to create a shaker with a piece of chipboard and a clear page. Inside the shaker, I adhered a beautiful girl sticker and a cute die cut from the collection.
Inside the album, you find a lot of space for photos and stories to be added later. As always, I love to create pockets, tags, flaps, and fun backgrounds to add photos and journaling.
The collection has many colorful patterns and I love to use all, in all my pages I incorporated many patterned papers for my layers and also fill the pages with the fantastic stickers and die cuts.
One of the things I love about the collections are the journaling cards, they are perfect to create flap and pocket but also inserts to add photos and journaling. They give me a lot of space and a beautiful color on my pages.
The School Rules Collection is perfect for saving some of your favorite school memories. The colors are perfect, the patterns are fantastic, and the theme is especially important for every mom!
I hope this colorful project inspires you to create a fun school project to document your child’s school memories.

Hello there again amazing crafty friends! It’s Lydia Cost today, and today I’m sharing a little tutorial of how I created this great little academic planner for the upcoming school year. This will be the first year that I need to do some massive planning for my kiddo; scheduling lunches, pick-up times, and homework. I know I’ll need to keep a little planner in my bag to track all his activities.
The School Rules collection was perfect for putting together a fun disc bound system perfect for my planning goals. I decided on a half letter size, because it will fit in any purse or bag that I plan to throw it in. I planned to include the 10 month academic schedule, and then add in a weekly spread for each month section. This meant I needed 2 covers, 10 monthly tabs, and 5 internal pages per section.
I set out picking out the perfect patterned papers for each of my planner dividers and covers. The 12x12 papers are perfect for this because they accommodate the 8.5 x 5.5 size very well. I cut out an 8.5 x 11 size sheet of paper, and then split it in half for my front and back cover. I’ve provided some great templates for you to use to get your covers and tabbed inserts perfect. You can download them here.
Next I picked 5 different papers (10 designs total) to create my tabbed inserts. These papers were so fun, and both sides of the patterned papers were perfect for creating monthly tabs inside my planner. After choosing my papers, I set out to get them cut out, so they would fit perfectly in my planner. I chose to hand-cut mine from paper; however, I’ve provided the PNG files that I traced from, so you can easily import those into your Studio or Cricut software for easing cutting!
After getting all my inserts cut out and my front and back cover, I decided I wanted to run them through my laminator. These will fit perfectly inside an 8 ½ x 11 sized laminate pocket, 2 per sheet. After I got them laminated, I simply went in with my scissors and cut out around all the edges.
Next I mixed in some great planning templates, that suit my needs perfectly. You can mix these in however it works best for your family or student. I like to mix in weekly planner pages and a monthly overview. You could even include teacher lesson plan sheets, extra-curricular planners, or student itineraries too for extra personalization!
All that was left was to bind it all together. I chose some mini black disc rings that suited my color scheme perfectly. I love the simplicity of binding this way, because it’s so easy to punch in new and fun things anytime. I really love the way the School Rules collection perfectly suited this little planner, and I can’t wait to put it to use. I just know the sticker book from the Carta Bella School Days collection is going to be perfect for dressing up all of my planning pages, and I can’t wait to punch in some tags and ephemera from the collection too!

Hello everyone, its dorymar here on the blog, today I am sharing with you a fun mini album using the fabulous Farmhouse Kitchen Collection. I think one of the things I do the most after scrapbooking is cooking, and this collection is perfect to create a fun project for people that love the kitchen and cooking. Check it out!!
To create this project, I used my Silhouette Cameo and Echo Park Mason Jar digital cut file to create the pattern. Mason jars are very fashionable these days, they are used for everything and why not create one into a scrapbook album?
On the cover I wanted to recreate a real mason jar, for that, I used the beautiful floral paper and one of the red squares patterned papers included in the collection to simulate the fabric used to decorate the real ones. Then, I added some beautiful wooden spoons that I found in a craft store and decorated them with some icons from the collection.
The album has 5 pages plus the front and back cover, I used the traditional binding and pasted it onto a 2.25 "x 4" chipboard piece. The base of each page was cut from Carta Bella Natural White Felt Designer Cardstock because they are extraordinarily strong. This makes the project firm and can hold all the photos and decorations.
The interior of the album is full of beautiful and colorful elements that stand out in the black touch that the collection includes. Below you can see up close the beauty of the project.
I adjusted the size of the original design to incorporate the pockets and flaps that I like so much.
I incorporated buttons and bows with baker's twine, to continue with this country style from the collection. I love it!
I love to play with the patterns and icons from the collection it is so fun to look through the pieces and the results are FANTASTIC!
Look at the cutest farmhouse icons from the collection, they are fantastic!
I hope this collection inspires you to create a fantastic project with the Farmhouse Kitchen Collection. Thank you for stopping by the blog today!

Hello there again, lovely friends; It’s Lydia Cost today. Today I’m sharing something extra fun that I created with the Farmhouse Kitchen collection. The collections illustrations stole my heart instantly, and I couldn’t wait to put it to use.
I have been meaning to find a system to keep my recipe cards in order on my kitchen island, and I decided I was just going to make something to suit my needs perfectly. First I started with an extra cosmetic drawer that I had on hand, because it was the perfect size for 3x5 cards. It started with a dark purple color and stripes, so I knew I’d have to pull out my spray paint and change its color to suit the gorgeous collection!
After spray painting my box a lovey shade of mint, I began trimming out this pretty pink paper from the collection to line the outside of my box. I cut my pieces to the exact dimensions, so that that patterned paper could do all the talking on the outside. I then added a fun piece of ephemera and one of the element stickers to the front for a little recipe box title. At this point I was so excited at how it was turning out.
Next I set out to create separator cards inside my box; this way I would be able to sort my recipes by type. I created seven cards at the 3x5 size, using the gorgeous patterned papers in the 6x6 paper pad. After choosing my 7 cards, I decided to add in some great tabs for easy separation. To create the tabs I simply picked some of my favorite coordinating stickers from the element sticker sheet.
After layering on the element stickers for section tabs, I decided I wanted to honor the farmhouse kitchen collection by adding in some gorgeous vintage buttons to my cards. I chose some gorgeous mustard colored thread and strung each one up on my cards by hand. I love the whimsical look it lends to this collection!
All that was left was to add in my titles for each section: Hearty, Light, Desserts, Veggies, Smoothies/Drinks, Sides, and Snacks. It might not seem like your typical list for recipe categories, but these suit my particular cooking habits perfectly! I simply typed the titles out and then adhered the little strips to each of my cards. All that was left now was to add in my favorite recipes and heirloom cards passed down through beloved friends and family.
