Thanksgiving Treat Boxes Featuring Designer Stamps

Have you seen the new Echo Park Paper Designer Dies & Stamps? I am Michelle Zerull, and I'm in love with these new alphabet stamps! I've never liked my handwriting and I've never had the patience to learn modern calligraphy. Now I don't have to obsess over my handwriting because the stamps look professionally drawn! 

For holiday meals, I like to put personalized treat boxes by everyone's plate. I was so excited to use the Kaitlin Uppercase Alphabet and Kaitlin Lowercase Alphabet Stamps to personalize my Thanksgiving boxes. The boxes, made with the Carta Bella Hello Autumn Collection, hold little candies, but the real treat is how awesome the names look. I am so pleased with the way they came out! 

 

Not a stamper? You've got to try it. You're going to love it AND it will look great! Everyone says that you should stamp on smooth cardstock. Not true! I used the lightly textured Green/Lt. Orange Solid Paper from the Carta Bella Hello Autumn Solids Kit and I think it looks great. I was doing a goofy little happy dance with my ink pad! In our family, we have lots of L's and N's in our names. Alphabet stickers don't work. These stamps will change the way that the Zerull Family personalizes their treats!

Halloween Cards Featuring Designer Stamps

Hi there, friends; It’s Lydia Cost today, and I’m sharing some love for the new release designer stamps in the echo park collection!  I was so blessed to get to play with the Kaitlin Alphabet Stamps, and I think I’m in love!  They stamp so beautifully clear, and they pair effortlessly together with the uppercase and lowercase.  The brushed front has totally stolen my heart.

This week is Halloween, so I knew that I wanted to create some fun and spooky Halloween cards to share with my kiddo’s teachers.  It’s a great time to send them a little encouragement before fall break!  I wanted to do two cards that had a stamped element and some distressed elements.

For my first card, I pulled out my distressing stains.  I edged my white card base with brown, amber, and black to distress the edges for the perfect spooky look.  I then fussy-cut a banner from the “Night Sky” Paper; these look amazing backed with some foam squares.  I stamped my “Spooky” sentiment right below it, and then nestled in another little banner from the patterned paper.

To finish off this card, I wanted to fussy-cut some more of the amazing bats in this collection.  I then ran each one through my sewing machine in the center, so that I could have some great thread messiness on the front of my card.  I really do think this adds so much character.  They also serve to highlight my stamped sentiment too!

For my second card, I wanted a bit more simple design.  I pulled out the great orange striped patterned paper to back my card with.  I then fussy-cut another banner to create a cohesive look for both cards.  This one said “Spooky.”  For the stamping on this card, I wanted to add a little extra character.  I pulled out a manila tag from my stash.  I distressed the edges, and then I stamped near the center, “Hello.”  It created the perfect sentiment for this cute little card.

All that was left was to string up my tag and add a little stitching.  I then adhered it down to my base.  I picked a little element sticker from the sticker sheet, and aligned it on top of my banner for some added dimension.  It nestled perfectly right below my stamped sentiment!

These two cards were such fun to create, and I know they solidified my love for the Kaitlin stamp set.  I know I’ll be using both the lowercase and the uppercase in tandem on everything!

Wedding Party Decor Featuring Designer Dies

Hello Friends!!! It is Dorymar today with a few ideas featuring the fabulous Designer Dies from Echo Park Paper Co., With this collection you can create all occasion cards, projects, gifts, and more! Almost all collections include a coordinating die which is perfect to incorporate into whatever you want to create.  In my case, I decided to create a fun wedding party decoration and used the new and subtle “Our Wedding Collection” from Echo Park.  

At all parties, no matter the celebration, we find boxes for sweets, cards, banners, and many other things. The first project that I present to you is a beautiful card. For her I used the Ultra-White Linen Cardstock to make my 5”x8” base and covered the top with two beautiful patterned papers from the collection.  At the top, I cut with the "Stitched Heart Nesting Die Set" a beautiful heart, perfect for the occasion and decorated around with stickers included in the collection.

My second project is a beautiful treat box and for her I used the “Rectangular Gable-Box 3-D Die Set”, the “Stitched Heart Nesting Die Set” and a beautiful die from the collection called "Just Married Edges. ", this last die in particular is fantastic because it has three beautiful borders perfect for making cards, mats, or as I used them just to give a fine touch to your project.

The Mr. & Mrs. banner could not be absent, as it is in fashion these days. To do this I used the "Pennant Nesting Die Set" in combination with the "Just Married Edges Die Set" and the "Stitched Heart Nesting Die Set". The thing I like the most about being able to work with Echo Park dies is the amount of options that they offer you and the variety of sizes, for example the set of dies of pennants and of hearts include 5 to 8 sizes to choose from. You can carry out any project and include all these beautiful pieces.

My latest project is how to decorate a beautiful Mason Jar using scrapbook paper and of course the magnificent dies that Echo Park offers you. For this case I cut a circle from the collection papers to decorate the top of the jar and I added a nice lace in tune with the colors, but to make the tag, I used the "Our Wedding Tags Die Set" also included in the collection, this die set includes 3 tags of different sizes perfect to give personal touches to your projects. In this project, I used the medium size, I followed the pattern of incorporating the lace border and the heart to the theme of my project and added a beautiful sentiment included in one of the stickers of the collection. The result is very simple, but very beautiful.

Girl Wonder Layout Featuring Designer Dies

Hey everyone,  Michelle here today with a new layout to share using the America collection and Designer Dies!  Did you know that there are dies released with almost every new collection?   In addition to those, Echo Park has other dies that will coordinate with all your projects!

 

 

I often hear people say "I don't buy dies because I'm not a cardmaker."  What???  Who says dies are just for cards?  You can use them on literally any type of paper project!  

 

I used 2 sets of dies on my layout.  The first set I used is the Mckell Uppercase Alphabet.  It was just what I needed to complete my title! (These also come in a lowercase as well)

 

 

The next set of dies I used is the Stitched Star Nesting Die Set.   I love love love this set!  I created the whole background of my layout with this.  I love how the stars layer into each other!

 

 

Since I used a 4th of July themed collection for my Halloween layout, all the embellishments weren't appropriate for my layout.  (Plus I'm Canadian...lol)  So I fussy cut some words from the papers.

 

 

So you see everything goes in the world of scrapbooking.  Dies for layouts, 4th of July papers for Halloween layouts....anything is possible!

Designer Challenge Week: Day 5

Hey everyone,  Michelle here today with a new  layout to share using the  All boy collection.  This week I was asked to use an old Echo Park project as my inspiration.  I went way back on the blog and found this beauty by Ashley Horton!  Here is the link to the blog post.

 

 

I was inspired by the design, the squares and even the little clouds.  Here is what I came up with.

 

 

After I added my squares, I stitched them with my sewing machine.  I almost always stitch on my layouts, I just can't help it!

 

 

These little dinosaurs were just too cute, I just had to add them to my layout!  The colors in this collection were perfect for my photo!

 

 

I finished up my layout with little word stickers and these adorable puffy stars!

Designer Challenge Week: Day 4

Do you play favorites? I do! Every crafter has a stash of favorites waiting for that perfect project. This week we're mixing them up and creating some amazing projects. I'm Michelle Zerull and I have made an Autumn Cottage Gift Set with some of my favorite Carta Bella collections.

 

I am an Echo Park and Carta Bella fan for many reasons, but one in particular fascinated me.  I fell in love with their colors...so many wonderful, rich colors! Then I discovered that their wonderful colors worked beautifully with their other wonderful colors. So if I had a few pieces left over from a Collection Kit, I could use it with another Collection Kit. The porch pumpkins from the Fall Market Chipboard Accents coordinate beautifully with the Sentiment sticker from the Hello Autumn Sticker Book.   It still amazes me!

 

 

This project uses elements from last year's Fall Market Carta Bella collection as well as this year's Hello Autumn collection. I even utilized By the Sea, which was a Spring collection, for the face of the Autumn Cottage as well as the cottage roof. Amazing!

 

 

Since this cottage is also a gift box, I needed a card too. The Bicycle Cottage Card is full of Autumn fun. The Hello Autumn Enamel Dots make the cutest flower centers!

 

 

This was such a fun project! I loved dusting off last years Autumn collection and giving it a new life. It also taught me to keep some Spring and Summer collections within close reach. You never know what you'll want to have on hand!

Designer Challenge Week: Day 3

Hello Friends, It is Dorymar, today I come with a different project because as part of the Echo Park Co. design team assignments we were assigned to work on a hybrid project using various collections of company papers. As Autumn has arrived, I decided to create a beautiful layout using the Hello Autumn collection and Fall Market collection from Carta Bella, and the Fall Dots & Stripes set from Echo Park. These collections are full of beautiful patterns, warm colors, flowers, pumpkins, etc.

I started my background with Brown paper from Dots & Stripes and B-side of Pumpkin paper from Hello Autumn.  After I adhered them one on top of the other, I selected several patterns of papers and cut several squares with a paper punch to make a colorful and fun tile effect. After cutting several squares, I scratched all their edges with scissors and then cut them in half forming triangles to create the background for my photos. This technique takes time, but when you have finished, the result is awesome!

As the background is quite busy, I decided to use only a few elements to decorate around my photos. I used the fussy cutting technique to cut several bunches of flowers and create clusters with chipboard, stickers, and graphics of the collection on the top and bottom of my photo. For finishing touches, I added thread and enamel dots.

This technique of using several collections for your projects is great because you can use all your leftovers and scraps to create a great project.
