Do you bake during the Holidays? I love having fresh-baked gingerbread, but too many sweets are not good for anyone. I'm Michelle Zerull and this year, I am indulging in the Echo Park Paper A Gingerbread Christmas and skipping all of those holiday calories.
My Scandinavian inspired Gingerbread Sweets include two small gingerbread houses as well as a gingerbread tree. I began with a base of Carta Bella Designer Cardstock Kraft paper. Everyone knows you need to have a good sturdy base for your gingerbread and the 80 lb. kraft paper is tough stuff! It's also a lovely cookie color!
The best thing about gingerbread is the candy decorations. For my gingerbread, I used the Gingerbread Christmas Puffy Stickers to decorate the houses. Aren't they the cutest? Other fun embellishments came from the "B" side of the "3X4 Journaling Cards" Patterned Paper. I used my detail scissors and fussy cut the yummy gum drops. The mint candies are my favorite, so I cut out the green one, but feel free to enjoy them all. They're paper!
My gingerbread houses are small, so I utilized the power of the Gingerbread Christmas 6X6 Paper Pad. The prints are scaled down versions of the 12X12 papers, which makes them perfect for small projects.
Make something yummy this season with the Gingerbread Christmas Collection from Echo Park Paper.
