Hello there again, crafty friends! It’s Lydia here today, and I’m sharing something fun and delicious! I’m by no means a talented baker, but I do enjoy making little treats for family and friends. From pie baking to cake baking, I do love the time spent in quiet in front of the kitchen island. These fabulous wedding cupcakes just make me so happy, because I know how much work I put into these lovely little treats!
For my cupcakes I really wanted to have something pretty to sit them in. I sat down at my desk after measuring the width of my baked cupcakes, and I began sketching out the shape of my cake cup. I used my curve tool to make my shape nice and even, spanning about a 10-inch width. After I experimented with how tightly my cup shapes should be bound, I decided on a diameter of two inches on the bottom and two and 5/8 inches on the top. I then traced my shape onto patterned paper for each cup.
Next, I decided that I wanted to create a trim on each of my cups. I pulled out the coordinating edges die set. These are the most perfect edition, and I was so happy with the die-cut when it came off the machine. I glued by edge die-cuts to the inside of each of my cup shapes. I then chose to run them through my sewing machine, for a beautiful bit of dimension and character.
All that was left was to wound my cup shape up again and glue it together. My cupcakes sat so prettily inside each lace-edged cup. To top off all my baked cupcakes, I color my icing a pretty shade of coral to match the collection. I piped it on thick, so I could add in a bunch of sugared up illustrations.
Putting sugar on the backs of papers and stickers is a great way to make them food safe, while also being easy to remove before devouring the delicious treat! I used some of the amazing element stickers on the top of each of my cupcakes. I love the way each of the illustrations nestles in perfectly with that coral-colored icing.
I cannot wait to see what you guys are creating with the Our Wedding collection; It’s one of the cutest wedding collections yet!

Hello there, crafty friends! It’s Lydia , and I’m sharing a bright and happy Football pocket page. I’m definitely a sporty girl, but I don’t often find myself the subject of a sport’s photo. I did, however, have some great tailgating shots that I couldn’t wait to sneak into my pocket page album. The Football collection was perfect for doing just that!
For this little 3x4 card spread, I chose a great card from the 3x4 journaling card paper. I then cut out some of the patterned papers and trimmed them to 3x4 cards. I quickly and easily had the base for each of my pocket cards. After I arranged them on my spread, I decided that my cards needed some added character.
For one card I pulled out some orange embroidery thread. I love picking elements on journaling cards to add hand-stitching to, because it adds so much character to an otherwise flat journaling card. I made sure to match my sewing machine stitching to this great orange color as well, so my entire spread would tie in together.
Next, I popped up my photo in the right bottom corner. With a little help from the 6x6 paper pad and some tissue paper, it really popped off the page. For my title I chose another journaling card from the patterned papers. I embellished this card with some of the fabulous star element stickers.
Now that I had added some stars, I knew I wanted to continue with as many stars as I could fit. I pulled out my stash of sequins and found some great green stars. Using my fuse tool, I attached a cute little pocket to the edge of my pocket spread. I love the way it overlaps my journaling cards and adds so much more character.
Pocket scrapbooking will forever be one of my favorite ways to memory-keep, and I love the Football collection for being effortless in my album!
